Congratulations, Jane!! Good job.
I hope to go to WI today but with all the packing for our move I don't know. My company is buying a new building for us all that won't be ready until Feb./March. So half of us have moved to one interim building already and the other half of us are moving the next 2 days into yet another place (not anywhere near the first, or the new building). Duh - corporations - they are so dumb sometimes. Make that all the time. So anyway, it's busy here. I hope I can get out on time to go to my meeting.
HIHO and have a good day!

Hi ladies - thought I'd do a quick check-in to say hello. We leave early Friday morning for Disney World - we are all excited! I'm going to WI and go to a meeting tomorrow morning instead of Friday this week. I do not expect the scale to be smiling at me tomorrow but I want to know where I'm at before we leave for our trip. I'm hoping I don't do too horribly while I'm there, I know for sure we'll be doing a lot of walking and I plan on bringing apples and Fiber One bars to get me through the in between times.
I'll do a quick post tomorrow with the WI results - whatever they are! I'm fine as far as Lifetime for October, I knew I needed to have a low WI early in the month because we were doing a lot of traveling the entire month of October.
Wishing you all the best!!
-Beth

Beth, have a great trip!! Everyone else -- where are you??? I'm up .4 at WI last night but I won't sweat it... cuz I haven't been sweating lately... It's not bad for 2 weeks since I didn't WI last week. And with all that's been happening...it just motivates me more to learn how to eat properly to lose, without counting on APs so much since I can't do my regular exercise routine for a while. Have a great day!

Up a pound at WI today, not surprised given the last two weeks and all of our travels.
Off to see the big Mouse tomorrow - I can't believe it! I'll have to get a few pounds off after I return I'm sure.
Talk to you soon!

whew! I lost 1 lb. at WI this morning. My scale is usually right with the one at my meeting so I didn't think I would lose anything. Guess my pjs weigh more than I thought! Really have to stay on track a little better this week. HIHO and have a great week all.........

I'm back! And I am not getting on the scale! We had a great time. I was VERY impressed with the healthy food options at Disney all over the parks. There were several stands throughout the parks that sold various types of cut up fruit, apples, bananas, celery & carrots w/ low-fat dip, etc. And most of the counter service places had salads, wraps and veggie burgers. We found one or two places with rotisserie chicken. My DH is on South Beach so he sctually lost 2 pounds because he didn't go off at all! My downfall was dessert because we were eating out at every meal. My meal choices generally were fine but I did have an ice cream or two and some desserts after dinner here and there. We brought snacks into the parks so I was armed with Fiber One bars and apples and 100 calorie packs. And obviously we did a ton of walking. In any case, it was a week long vacation and I enjoyed it. Tonight we have a big costume party so starting tomorrow it's back on the exercise & eating well bandwagon for me. I'll WI next Friday and hopefully between now and then undo some of the damage.
It doesn't seem like there was too much chatter going on here while I was gone! Jane - that scale keeps movin' along! Cathy - I hope you're recovering well and not rushing things.
Yes - this challenge ends Wednesday! I think the next challenge needs to be our end of year one, the holidays are coming fast! Chanukah starts December 5 this year - UGH - too early.
Happy Halloween!!

My last WI of the challenge was this morning and I maintained. That means I didn't do what I wanted to do, but that's ok. Every week but this one was a loss. So I still feel like a winner! On to the next challenge.........

Good idea, Beth - the next challenge should carry us to the end of the year. Sounds good - I'm in!
Jane - maintaining is good!

Hey! I'll get the next challenge started on Thursday. This is such a hard time of year!
I did spin yesterday but it was tough after not spinning for several weeks. Also, I have a cold and comfort food is very appealing to me right now. I need to devise a plan for healthy comfort food and force myself to drink water. I think I'll make some eggs for breakfast.

Hi all -
Happy Halloween!! Today is the last day of our trick-or-treat challenge. My goals were:
1) Stay at or below goal 2) Exercise 3-4 times a week (find something as many APs as spinning was since I am missing my morning spin classes with DS in afternoon kindergarten) 3) COOK dinner 3-4 times/week 4) Try one new recipe a week
I think the only one I've actually hit was staying at goal - although I haven't weighed in since being home from Disney! We did so much traveling and running around the month of October that I exercised 1-2 times a week if that and I did not cook much at all. November should be a much more sane month so I'm hoping for more of a routine.
Onto the next challenge!!
-Beth
