I don't know how active this board is anymore but I am setting a challenge for myself of slimming down by the end of summer. I have three reasons for doing it. -I have a Lieutenants test coming up and I want to look good in the video taped portion of the test. -I am getting married on August 30th (legalizing my marriage of 12 years in CA) and I need to fit back into my wedding gown. -I just want to feel lighter and fit into more of my clothes
I have rejoined WW online and am doing core.
Who wants to join me? I am happy to be the moderator for the challenge.

Hi again - OK I'm in!! ;D So glad to hear from you, Cynthia - I missed you and all my other Kippy friends! I wish we could get this board up and running wild again. Congrats on your upcoming wedding! That is great. I'm still struggling with 10 lbs., actually I don't know how much but my WI is tomorrow and I'll find out. I really wanted to lose at least 5 lbs. of it by a wedding I have July 18, and my vaca in Ocean City, MD the last week in July. But for the end of summer challenge I will really challenge myself by saying I want to be back to goal!!!!!!!! My goal I mean, not my WW number. I will try!

I am also trying to lose about 13 lbs. My own goal is also ...well my goal. I would like to be at about 170 lbs.
Today has been good so far. I have stayed core with bk and lunch. No exercise, but I will do that tomorrow at work. Dinner will be chicken and possibly polenta.
Good to be chatting with you again Cathy. Thanks for joining me. It is really helpful.

Good morning - I have been pretty much OP with the food and exercise since Sunday. Not totally Core, but very good eating, portion sizes and exercise, whew! Didn't do my normal routine on vacation last week but got lots of walking in. But, now that I'm back exercising I really feel it! Also to prepare for that wedding and vacation I have coming up, I am getting up each morning to do an ab workout - I have a DVD with multiple routines so I do betw. 6-10 min. in the morning. That is killing me! ;D In a good way. Tonight is meeting and WI and I hope the thunderstorms predicted don't happen then. My clothes feel good, some fit better but lots of pants/shorts still cannot be worn. I want to change that in 2 weeks and definitely by the end of August!

Cathy,
So you are still doing meetings? I am doing the food on line via their website. If I can stick with it that should work well enough. My friends and family are all willing to be supportive. Frankly the meetings here in SF just don't connect for me which is too bad. I am planning to weigh in at home on Mondays.
That is great that you are doing an ab workout each morning. I am going to work out on the stairclimber today at work and then tomorrow I will hit the gym for weight lifting and elypitical machine. I have not been good about working out at work lately so if I can get back into that routine it will be a big step.

I would like to join your end of summer challenge! I would like to be down at least another 15 pounds by the end of august. I do go to ww weekly and wi. I really like the leader and she also follows core. I just need to stay away from the summer cocktails. Having a pool, we usually have cocktails by the pool on weekends. That's one thing that doesn't help me. But I can get in swimming laps, and that's one thing that does help me!

Thanks xenagoddess. I am working on it. Been doing core and ww since mid March and have a ways to go. I just keep plugging along. I tried flex in the past and was always hungry. So this time when I joined I decided to try core, and love it!

I love the pictures LOL!! I love Night at the Roxy. I loved Ice Age too. Can you believe I never saw all of Nemo, if that's where "my" picture is from!
Yes, I'm still doing my Wed. night meetings. I joined monthly pass awhile ago, thought I might as well, it's the cheapest way to go and this way if I miss a meeting I don't have to pay if they're not having free registration. And I know I'll be trying to lose this 10 lbs. for a long while! When I do, I'll quit monthly pass.
I can't believe we're all on Core, not that anyone doing Flex can't join this challenge, but it's hard to find people (and leaders) that choose Core.
I love summer cocktails any time of the year! ;D

Your image is from Chicken Little. His name was "fish out of water".
I have been half hearted trying to lose this 13 for the last 2 years. I just haven't stuck to anything that I have started. But I will this time...
I remember writing a few years ago, after losing a fair amount of weight on core, that all I ever needed to lose was to do Core. So I am sticking with that base knowledge.

Well, I wi today, and lost .6 which I was very happy with. I thought I would gain because of all the cocktails I had over the holiday weekend, and also had nachos deluxe one of the days. But I only ate them to satisfaction and never got full all weekend. So I have another 14.4 pounds to go to meet the challenge. Woo hoo! I'm just so excited I lost. I had myself all set for a gain this week so I got a wonderful surprise when they said I was down .6
I'm off to a good start!

Good morning Challenge friends - looks like we all have gotten off to a good start!
Great job, Xena! Congrats on your loss, Tracie! Any loss is good.
I have realized (duh by looking at my membership card) that I have lost for the last 5 weeks, will wonders never cease. Even if it was .4, .2, etc. they were losses and last night I was down 1.4!! I didn't WI last week since I was on vacation but I am still down and finally (again) under 150 (barely) but I'm pretty happy. I'm determined to keep this up!
Have a great day!

I am up at the crack of dawn due to a 5AM drill. So here I post....
Today should be ok. I have breakfast planned. Lunch is a little up in the air and dinner should be fine. I am also going to do an hour of weight lifting and hopefully get on the elyptical machine for at least 20 minutes.
Question: I remember that they way the exercise points worked was that you had to use them the same day you earned them. I am using the oneline tracker. It looks to me like they are just adding my exercise points onto my total WPA so I can carry them all week. Is that a new change?

I'm confused... I hadn't heard of any change with counting APs - maybe something is wrong with the on-line system? As far as I know, APs must be used the same day you earn them. I don't use the on-line tracker though.
