Yeah that is what I thought too. Could you ask for me at your meeting?

Xena - I went onto the WW core board and asked your question. Believe it or not I got a friendly person who said our understanding of how you can us APs is correct - only eat them on the day you earn them. There is a glitch in the on-line tracker that makes it keep adding them for the week. Duh. That was the first answer I got - I'll let you know about any other useful posts. I'll ask my leader too next week (I'll have to write a note to remember!)

Thanks! Your the bestest! I will complain to the web site. They should fix that since it is very misleading.

Hi all-
Count me in. Right now I am 5 lbs. above goal and want to be back at goal by Labor Day. I joined a women's fitness bootcamp that meets 3 mornings a week and I am hoping that will get my metabolism moving again. I haven't done much exercise in the last few months. Since Saturday, my eating has been really good so we'll see when I weigh in tomorrow. I am doing flex - the lone one on the challenge! I started with Core but lost the rest of my weight on Flex, I really was just eating way to much on Core. I like the accountability of weighing and measuring everything. But I eat mostly Core foods anyway.
Thanks for getting a challenge started!!
-Beth

This is the email WW sent me in regards to activity points. But it doesn't address the fact that this isn't the way there online planner works. Sigh. --------------If you have not earned Activity POINTS values for the day or you do not have enough Activity POINTS values to swap for Food POINTS values used, the POINTS Tracker will deduct the Food POINTS values used from your Weekly POINTS allowance. Be sure to click the "Save Your Items" button each time you use the POINTS Tracker so that you can track your process and view any changes that have been made. * The POINTS Tracker will always look for Activity POINTS values first * Activity POINTS values earned through exercise can be swapped for Food POINTS values when you are over your POINTS Target only on that day. * When you save your items in the POINTS Tracker, we will swap as many Activity POINTS values as needed for Food POINTS values. * If you do not eat over your POINTS Target on days you exercise, the Activity POINTS values will help boost your weight loss * You cannot swap more Activity POINTS values than are necessary * Plan your exercise and food for the day to see how many Activity POINTS values are available to swap for Food POINTS values. * Activity POINTS values cannot be saved for future days. They must be used on the day they are earned. * If you have a weekly number of Activity POINTS values you are aiming to earn each week, you can see your Weekly Tally after you save your items. Your Weekly Activity POINTS values earned will reset to zero on your Weight tracking day. If you have not earned any Activity POINTS values for the day but have exceeded or plan to exceed your POINTS Target, you can use any of your Weekly POINTS Allowance remaining. No change, just the planner doesn't work correctly. The recipe builder doesn't work for the core plan either, because if you use it and click to add it to your planner, it deducts all the point from your balance, even if everything is core.

Hi all-
I was a bit discouraged to have gained 1.4 at WI today, as I had a good week and did 3 fitness boot camps. But alas, I am not going to let it derail me. I think this week I need to work on getting in more fruit... otherwise things are going okay with the 8 HG's.
Tonight I'm meeting some of my WW friends for a glass of wine and to share a dessert. The weekends are always challenging but I am trying to stay positive. We have a wine tasting tomorrow night and there will be lots of munchies so that will be my biggest challenge of the weekend. My plan is to eat dinner first, although hunger usually has nothing to do with me eating that kind of stuff. We are bringing shrimp to the party and I know there will be veggies, so at least that will be safe.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
-Beth

I had a good day today. Ate op and also got in some exercise doing laps in my pool. Got some swimming in last night as well. That's one exercise I can do. I can't walk because I have a bad knee and will be getting a knee replacement some day, but they won't do it yet because I'm too young. So I have to find other means of exercise and swimming is a great one. I also ride my bike and that doesn't bother my knee too bad. Tomorrow is house cleaning day so I'm sure once I'm done with that, I will jump in the pool to cool off and get in some exercise. Chicagobeth, just keep going. Don't let the gain bother you. Stay op and it will come off.

So yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag. I picked up my son at camp and due to all the driving (my excuse) I wasn't able to stay totally core. I did eat in moderation and stayed as core as possible but wound up eating up all my WPA for the week. So today is all core. And tomorrow. And I will work out after I take a nap.
Chicago: I hear you on that small gain. It is frusterating. Hold on and eat that shrimp!
More2Lose: What do you do in the pool? Laps? Or some kind of structured water aerobics? I like to do laps in our local pool. Mostly free style. It is a great workout. I am always tired after doing laps.

Xenagoddes, I do laps in the pool, and also some different exercises that I did when I went to water aerobics. I am still in water aerobics, but because the classes are year around, I paid for 16 classes, and if I don't go for awhile, I am not losing any of my classes. I get 16 classes no matter when I go. So since I have a pool, I will save them for colder times when I can't use my pool.
Today was a total cleaning, cooking day. I cleaned my house, both refrigerators, cleaned out cupboards, and also cooked up a storm. I made some core cherry berry jam (for core pancakes) and polenta chips and salsa. Plus I took 5 pounds of chicken breasts and cooked them in a crockpot until they were falling apart, and shredded it up and used some of it for chicken nachos, with the polenta chips and salsa for dinner tonight. I am using the rest for chicken salad and core barbecue chicken for sanwiches for lunch next week. I have 1 point burger buns that I can use it on. I'm sure I'll have some left over to freeze for later as well. Talk about getting prepared!!

Hi Cynthia, Cathy, and Tracie! Gosh, I am happy to "see" you all here. I have been trying to join Dottie's but haven't been allowed to post ( ). I just posted in my journal here . . . I really need this challenge! This morning, I weighed 154. That is 14 pounds above my WW goal, and 21 pounds above my personal comfort level. I was looking at some photographs from two years ago and realized that I look different now, with all that extra weight on. Of course, the good news is that I have not gained *all* of the weight back! I need to be committed to this and not let my momentary cravings get in the way. So my goal for Labor Day is to lose 9 pounds, bringing me to 145. That is just over a pound a week, and I think I can do it, because I think that the first week I will have a larger loss, since I have been SOOOO off program lately. And I will try to post every day, even if I have to do it from work. (There is a lot of competition from the kids for our family computer these days!)

What I am noticing is that my energy is increasing and I feel like my stamina is as well. I worked out today and I was almost able to complete level 4 on the stair climber for 30 minutes. It felt good to have a little endurance. I am excited about my weight in tomorrow. But we will see. The proof will be in the poundage.
I guess the best thing is I have stuck with Core for a whole week and that is something I haven't been able to do for over two years. I am going to look good for my wedding ladies.
