Good morning everyone - I am so glad we are together again too!! ;D I hope everyone had a good weekend - I did - fun-wise and even eating and exercise wise I did well. I still can't fit into a lot of my summer shorts though and that is what's frustrating me. But I won't give up either. Cynthia - isn't WW frustrating too - duh - what is the point of that site if nothing works correctly - or should I say - all the Flex stuff works but they can't do a Core version of the on-line system? Then why do they ask if you are doing the Core or Flex plan. Good luck with your WI, let us know. You are going to look smashing at your wedding! Beth - Coco - Tracie - talk to ya all later!

Good morning, Cathy, Beth, Cynthia, and Tracie!
It feels soooo good to be back on track. I stuck to the plan yesterday and didn't even have wine with dinner. When I lost my 50 pounds, I rarely had any alcohol . . . I've got to remember that!
Today's plan is to bring a healthy lunch and snack to work. After work, I will either go for a walk or hit the gym to ride the bike with a good book.
I do weigh myself every day; helps keep me on track. This morning one pound of bloat is gone!

I am down 4 pounds! Yeah! I love that first week on core. It always results in a great loss. Now the real work begins - sticking with the program and taking the smaller loses graciously.

Well, as expected the wine tasting Saturday night was a challenge. I ate the shrimp and veggies.... and cheese and chips and chocolate cake! But since I know myself at parties I decided just to have an apple about an hour before and not actually have dinner, since I knew I would be eating there regardless. The rest of the weekend was good. Did a BRUTAL boot camp Saturday morning. Went for a 45 minute walk this morning and it's back to boot camp tomorrow! I just went to the grocery store and got some fruits and veggies for the week. I think part of my issue with last week's WI may have been a late dinner, so this week I will plan on eating earlier on Thursday night. And already I am doing much better with the fruit. I bought grab-and-go stuff like apples, peaches and plums so I can take it in the car. Tonight we are having leftover chicken, corn on the cob, and tomato/basil salad. I love summertime! It is going by so quickly.
Glad you are all here! Have a great week. We can do this!!!
-Beth

A couple of small victories today:
1. Somebody brought donuts to work. I did not eat any!
2. I was starving when I got home, and tired. Instead of my usual snack-morphing-into-binge, I ate a bowl of shredded wheat with blueberries, then took Bam Bam for a walk.
My next victory of the day will be to have a light Core dinner, and no wine . . .

HI and happy Tuesday! ;D
Beth - wine tasting sounds good to me and at least you ate beforehand. Where do you do your boot camp - at your gym? Xoxo - great NSVs!
Hello Cynthia and Tracie!
It is a gorgeous day here in NJ. It might not rain until next week, imagine that LOL! The summer is flying by and I want it to crawl!

Good Morning Everyone! On to week two and my first day was a lovely core day. Good food, weight lifting and lots of water. I am heading out to my Mom's for the night and hopefully we will go kayaking which will give me some exercise. She also like to walk so that will suit as well. Core eating should be pretty easy since she is a meat, fruit and veggies kind of gal. Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
So far so good today. Right now I'm trying to psych myself up for a walk.
Cynthia, sounds like you have a great day planned. I am loving this Bay Area weather the past couple of days -- on the cool side of warm and breezy, perfect for walking!
Cathy, I hear you about the summer going too fast. I have just five days left of summer school. Hard to believe.
Beth and Tracie, I hope you are having good days as well!

Hi All! Sorry I've been MIA but I'm back. I've been doing great except for today, and I didn't do all that bad. We had dinner at my fathers assisted living home as they were having their annual festival(this is his first year there so I had no idea what to expect). So we ate there as everything was free and they had a taco bar, quite a few different salads(potato, macaroni, etc.) and baked beans, chips, candy, cake, icecream,a big fruit bowl, cotton candy and of course when we got there the grilled chicken was gone. So I had a couple tacos and some baked beans and some fruit. So not really core at all. Oh yea, I did partake in some cotton candy How bad of me. But I was great all week and I have tons of points left. Not sure how I should really count it, but I should be ok. I will WI tomorrow, so we will see. According to my scale I should be down about a pound. Xena, What an awesome loss!!! WTG!! xoxo, great will power! I've been doing pretty well in that department, for the most part. We have had donuts a number of times in the last month, and I have never eaten even one. Beth, great job on all your working out! I wish I could do some of those things.

Hi, girls - how are you all? I'm doing OK. I have had a good few days and my weekend wasn't bad either. Now today... started out good with breakfast because I am being taken out to lunch to a pizza place. I've already decided what to eat. Then WI, no time for meeting because me and and DBF are meeting a friend and our goddaughter for dinner at the diner... I can only hope WI makes me happy enough to enjoy dinner LOL. Cynthia - how was kayaking with your Mom? She sounds like a fun Mom! Tracie - Sounds like you had a fun evening with your Dad, glad you enjoyed it. That's what WPAs are for. Have a great day - hope to be back later!

Tracie, I think you made good choices. Baked beans may not be Core, but they are high in fiber and other nutrients. And after all, isn't cotton candy just air? It is actually low calorie (I think one of those cones has about 60 calories?). The most important thing is that you had a good time with your family.
I am gearing up for my day. For some reason I woke up really early, wide awake. I must have slept well!
Yesterday I had another good day; I did take Bam Bam for a walk and once again skipped the wine with dinner. DH grilled lean steaks with baked potato and salad. I have not used a WPA since Saturday night, and haven't felt the need to. I am saving them for Friday, because we are having a barbecue at church -- I'll have a bun with my veggie burger, a beer, and a small helping of dessert, if I dare (I'll have to see if I really want it!). We are having a dessert bake-off and I plan to bring two things: sliced watermelon and my grandmother's hot fudge sauce (with ice cream of course). Right now the watermelon actually sounds better to me than any other dessert, but it has always been my favorite food! Maybe I'll "dress it up" with some kind of lime dipping sauce. My mom makes a great one with tequila, but that would not be appropriate since children will be present!!!!!
