Hey Sul - good to hear from you!
I'm checking in from NJ - we've had a nice visit although the weather has been cold and nasty. I've been really trying to count points and stay in line this week - so far about 10 WPAs left for the week. We fly back home Wednesday and maybe I can get in a walk tomorrow night if the weather at home is decent.
Hope everyone is doing okay!!!

Is everyone dry? We got hit hard here in the Chicago area. We had some water in our basement and we have no hot water, but we didn't lose power or have a complete flood or trees down so I'm thankful. We're supposed to get hit with another storm this afternoon!
I took out of our freezer last night a broiler chicken to make tonight and I did get to the grocery store yesterday before the storm hit to stock up on fruits and veggies for the next few days. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
I'm happy to report that I lost my vacation weight gain - I was down 2.6 at WI today. So I'm back at goal - happily. I'd like to lose a few more pounds to give myself a little bit of a cushion - but I'm happy to be back at this number.
September and October are crazy months for us, I'm hoping to get through it and stay on track! I may have to become one of those 5:30 a.m. exercisers - EEK!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the last few days of August!

Yikes is my weight all over the scale. Up big time this past week, but the summer birthdays and big celebrations are over now and I'm ready to face real life. My Dr. released me to "do what ever I want" today. I pretty much had been any way. So this afternoon, I mowed the lawn. Good exercise. Also I have other news.... I have a new job. I actually have known for a couple weeks, but couldn't really say anything. I start Sept.10th and it is only across the street from my current job. I'll be working in the local pharmacy. On the floor pretty much the retail stuff I'm used to. The amazing thing is that this is a chain of smaller stores 80 plus stores strong and they have full benifits available. So we will still have insurance after DH's job ends in 4or 5 weeks. I'm really excited to learn a new job and still get to see so many of the customers from the store I currently work in. DH is still up in the air about his future, but that's ok, it will all work out. HIHO Katie

Hey Katie - great to hear from you and great news about your job and doctor report. Keep us posted on how it goes once you start.
All is well here. DS starts kindergarten tomorrow - I'm coming to grips with it! Lots of stuff on the calendar the next few weeks - just trying to keep everything together. No exercising for me yet this week (except for an evening walk on Sunday) but I'll be able to get to the gym tomorrow afternoon when school starts.
Can't believe it's Labor Day weekend around the corner!!

Hi, Katie ! So glad to hear from you, I'm glad your dr. gave you the go-ahead to "do what you want". He means exercise, right?! Not eating.... I'm glad you are feeling so much better. Congrats on the new job! It's great about full benefits, wonderful how things work out, and you will still be able to see old customers and friends. Good luck! Beth - how did it go with sending DS off to school??!! After an awful week of cold wet weather it has cleared up here in NJ and although it's not quite hot enough August weather for me, I'll take it. Lots of sun and blue sky. And supposed to be a great Labor Day weekend too, no I cannot believe it's here already but this happens every year ... ;D I will enjoy the long weekend. Have a good day everyone!

Since this challenge officially ends tomorrow I thought I'd repost my challenge goals from June 1 when we started:
1) Stay at or drop below current goal weight and make lifetime 2) Continuing cooking and being very OP during the week 3) Try to stay OP on the weekends, but allow myself to indulge sometimes and not feel guilty about it. 4) Continue to exercise 3-4 times/week
Looks like I made all of my challenge goals!
1) Made Lifetime on June 15 and as of last week's WI I am exactly at my goal weight of 125. 2) Did a lot of cooking this summer - DH starting on a diet helped out with that (he's down 45 lbs. by the way) 3) Still a work in progress with the guilt thing but I definitely had a great summer and don't feel deprived 4) Working out - I did the best I could with DS's schedule - most weeks I averaged 3 times a week (sometimes more and sometimes less).
Hope everyone comes back to Kippy's in the fall!!
-Beth

OH boy...OK I'll post my goals too... My goals for the summer challenge were: 1) Maintain maintain maintain within 2 lbs. of my personal and/or WW weight goal 2) Keep cooking Core foods each week 3) Watch satisfaction level 1) I did not do this but I'm not too far off... 2) I did this up until about end of June... 3) Yes - this I did, I am never full or starving... I did have sad extenuating circumstances though, I know life happens and WW is for life too... I will try harder during the next challenge -- when's that and what is it called cuz I'm in!P.S. Beth - congrats to your DH - way to go!

Hi all,
I did not participate in this challenge, but I want to do the next one! I am about ten pounds over my WW goal, but would like to lose 15 to get back to my comfortable weight. The good news is that I exercised every day this past week and earned 26 APs. However, I have been hitting the chips hard at work. My goal for the next challenge will be to stay on track with Core . . . no more excuses!
