Hello to all who are lurking! Sure is quiet here - hope that means everyone is having fun.
I was exactly the same at WI today - I'm not sure what that says about my week doing Core but I was fine with it and happy with that "number" for my August Lifetime WI. We leave for a one week vacation to Michigan tomorrow so I hope to just hold my own. Half of the people we are going with are doing WW so it should be manageable. I'm going to enjoy myself though and not be too hard on myself, after all it's my one and only vacation this summer!
Hope everyone has a great week. Stay cool!!
-Beth

Hi, everyone, I'm back from the Jersey shore!! ;D Where is everyone?? On vacation like Beth? We had such a marvelous time, very little of it was Core but boy did I need a vacation and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have no idea what I weigh but I will WI on Thursday and as usual, move on. I have been back to Core since yesterday, as much as I can so I hope my number is not too daunting...but I will get back down again! I hope everyone is lurking here from time to time and that we can have a Kippy reunion right here in September!

Hello Kippy friends What a journey I've been on. My MRI showed a bulged disk, between C 6&7. Required surgery which I had Aug 2. It went beautifully. I was told by others that had similar surgery that I would have immediate relief from the pain and they were right. Absolutely night and day difference. I did stay the night at the hospital, but came home on Friday, went grocery shopping (with dh) on Saturday and to a movie on Sunday. The little bit of discomfort that I continue to have is easily controllable by tylenol. I feel so blessed by my family and their concern and the physical help they have given me. I'm still limited on what I can lift and tire easily, but each day gets better and better. With my husbands job ending soon and not knowing what we will do for insurance, I'm very thankful that this surgery took place now instead of later. All things do work out for good I even think I'm getting back on a decent eating routine, (except for the birthday cake yesterday) I'm looking forward to going back to work on the 13th and getting back to normal. It sounds like most are hanging in there and staying mostly on track. Good job everyone Take care Katie

I'm back from vacation - and too frightened to get on the scale! I went spinning and to the grocery store this morning. That's the great thing about WW, it really is easy to get back on. I will WI at my meeting on Friday, but I'm sure glad to have gotten my August WI for Lifetime out of the way! Now I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. We were in a house with 14 people (10 adults and 4 kids) so not exactly solitude. I did finish two books though and we had 3 solid beach days which was great.
Cathy - glad you had a great trip! Sorry about your WW decision but I'm sure you made the right choice.
Katie - so glad your surgery was successful and you are feeling better.
Coco - sounds like you're doing great!
Kippy's has been sleepy this summer, hope it picks back up in the fall.

Welcome back, Beth! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Vacations are for fun and somehow this involves food LOL I don't know why! WI on Friday and move on, that's my philosohy - once a week only! I will attend my meeting Wednesday and see how I did since last week...haha! It is easy to get back to our real WW way of life after any happy life events. Hope everyone has a good day here at Quiet Kippy's!

I tried the ticker factory but I couldn't do it. I'm having fun anyway. This site is great, lots to do and great recipes.

Hi, Rosy! Try Ticker Factory again, it's fun! On the main page Kippy tells you how to attach the link to your Kippy profile.

Rosy, WELCOME, If I was good with cute graphics you would get something blinky and fun, but since I'm pretty computer illiterate, a shout will have to do. I'm glad to see you here and hope that you will feel comfortable with jumping in and posting your successess, failures, and questions. It is a great place, even if it is a little quiet this summer.
My WI last Saturday was really good, I was down and official 3.2, but I had wi 2 weeks earlier, but didn't have them record the number I was down 8.2 ha ha. I had gained 5lbs because of being on prednisone(ick) I told my leader that I didn't think neck surgery was the recommended form of weight loss. But I'm thrilled with the number. I'm back at work now. I'm tired, but still no pain. Tomorrow will be the true test, I'll have my first full 8.5hour day. I think I'll be ok, just really tired. Take care kippy friends Katie

Good morning Kippy pals!
Katie - good luck at your first day back - don't push yourself.
Cathy - enjoy your meeting! I love mine - I hope it will continue to fit into my schedule for awhile.
So, the position at WW ended up working out (long story) and I started receptionist training last night. There is so much to remember! In October I'm scheduled for a 4-day leader training and hopefully a leader position will be in the cards for me by the end of the year. I also took on another part time job for a once a month evening program with Dads and kids and will have some training with that. And we are being inundated with new school stuff since DS starts kindergarten at the public school. And with the Jewish holidays being early this year September will turn out to be an extremely busy month.
I am back in the saddle again, as they say. I will WI on Friday. I have no idea what the scale said when I got home from vacation and I honestly don't care - I've moved on! Hopefully my good habits this week will help get me back to that number. I am glad I did my August Lifetime WI and employee WI at the begining of the month.
I am spinning this morning and getting my hair highlighted - fun day for me!
Hope everyone is hanging in there - looking forward to things picking back up on Kippy's once the weather starts changing?
-Beth

Hi Everyone,
Are you planning on doing a fall challenge? If so, when will it start? The summer has been crazy but I am reorganizing my life to be ready to start up again in september.

WI today was not pretty - up 2.8 from last WI. I was probably up at least 4 in the beginning of the week but I've been back on track since we returned. Now I need to get back down! If I hadn't weighed in for Lifetime at the beginning of the month I would have had to pay today.
We are heading to NJ Saturday-Wednesday and I'm not too concerned about food there. Family party on Sunday and chances are they will be bringing in a 6ft submarine sandwich but I'll just have to deal with it.
Oward and downward -- hope everyone has a great weekend!

whew ... it's been a long hot summer. Thought I'd have a few minutes to catch up but have been called off. Just wanted to say that I'm eager for a new challenge and a chance to regroup and reconnect with you all. Labor Day is right around the bend... can you believe it.
Keep on keeping on, everyone!!
