OK... I lost. But .4. Sure I'll take it, as we say. It's better than a gain.
RANTING ALERT: But Jeez Louse. I've been quite core focused; limited my use of points for alcohol, to one day a week; walk or run a MINIMUM of 4 miles every day; rehearsing a strenuous dance every day this week for at least 30 minutes; yoga twice already this week; eating lots of fruit and veggies; not premenstrual.
Since being back at ww, 6 weeks, I haven't even lost 4 pounds. And it's not like I only have 10 to lose. I would like to lose about 35-40.
I WANT BETTER RESULTS!
OK, rant over. I'm not giving up because I don't like how I look and feel at this weight. Just ate sco and blueberries. Had a banana after my weigh in (and hour and 7 minute walk-run) {you'd think I'd have gotten a water weight boost from the sweating but alas...}
Have a great day, friends. I'll be out of the cranky weeds soon!

Sulee, are you eating enough? That's an amazing amount of activity. Seems like you should be melting away!

Xena, thanks for the sugar information. I've always wanted to try stevia but I wonder if you can cook with it like sugar (and Splenda, which I use now). I want to get away from Splenda. There is a local natural foods store near me. I have seen fructose there, and stevia, maybe they have some information on these other sugars you found. It's all very interesting to me, especially the agave (tequila??! I'm there! ;D ) and fig sugars. Thanks again.

Hi all-
Up .2 at WI today and I've got one more week until Lifetime! It was a good learning experience for me this week because I had pizza, sangria and a wine festival last weekend and stayed on track and exercised during the week and still maintained. That lifestyle is very doable for me! Although now my DH has started on a program my guess is the weekends will be much more OP. He is doing really well and I'm proud of him! I cooked all week long for us instead of us going out, so I think that makes a difference also.
We've got a fun weekend planned! Tomorrow we are going to a huge book fair in the city and then to a White Sox game in the afternoon. Sunday morning I'll hopefully get to spin and then we have DS's last soccer game and a 1st birthday party BBQ in the evening. Tonight we are either going out or bringing in - I'm done with cooking!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
-Beth

Hi guys! I'm brand new to the boards and ready for a summer of core. Here are my goals: 1) Get started on core and get used to eating healthy, cooking daily and not eating out. For me that is going to be a huge challenge. I'm going from eating out at least 2 times a weeks (that's down from eating out almost every day a couple of months ago) & cooking lots of pasta, casseroles & processed foods. 2) I would like to surpass my previous weight loss total of 15 lbs. That's the most I have ever lost and of course I have always gained it back. 3) Focus on the fact that I am making healthy changes for a lifetime, improving my health, preventing additional health problems in the future. Good luck to everyone on completing their goals! -Susan

Hi Susan - glad to see you here! Once you get comfortable, it is very easy to eat out on Core so be careful not to deprive yourself of that if that is a part of your lifestyle.
My Monday morning confessional....
I am eating too much on the weekends! I have got to stop. I had some outrageous cake at a party last night - banana chocolate chip cake with cream cheese frosting. It was too good to just have a bite - I had a piece - and went back for another small piece. Otherwise I guess yesterday wasn't horrific. The day before we were out all day at a book fair and baseball game and I did a lot of tasting, etc. I'm considering all of my extra points to be gone now - it's back to business!
My DS is off this week but I tried to make some plans for him in the mornings so I could get to the gym. My DH and I have a date night tonight - we'll grab some dinner and see Ocean's 13. I won't make it to spinning today but my plan is to do the elliptical machine today and spinning Tuesday and Wednesday. I did not get a workout in this weekend, I think those weekend workouts may not be realistic now that the weather is nice. We like to get up and out of the house and on our way. Luckily we are always doing a lot of walking and drinking water.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a good Monday!
-Beth

Hi, Susan, glad you could join us! ;D
Hi everyone else too -- I was busy today at work so just stopped by now....
Beth I hear ya about weekend eating...and for me drinking too...I don't have any alcohol during the week but love my wine and summertime drinks on the weekend, usually only 1 day but the calories add up.
Have a good evening!

Boo Hiss on the rejection letter. Those folks don't know what they are passing up in smart, sweet and supportive Beth. I think that it means you have something better in store for you, dear friend...what ever that may be.
hugs to you!

Thanks for the welcome! Beth-sorry about your WW news. My first day of core is just about over. It's been very hectic. Maybe I'll head over to the journal area and start my own. I have the most horrible, painful hiccups right now. Nothing is helping. I think a spoonful of sugar is a remedy but I can't do that or I would have to use WPA's. LOL! Well, maybe Splenda will help. -Susan

Beth, their loss. Absolutely. I musy say, though, that I think you have an excellent attitude about the whole thing. Welcome Susan. I like your tortoise ticker. I have a question for y'all...have you ever eaten at a raw foods restaurant? There's one in town that I'm pumped to check out. It looks SO GOOD; check out the desserts....no simple carbs, ice cream made with fruits and agave. www.cilantrolive.comalso found this interesting article via the stumptuous site: www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1626795_1627112_1626670-1,00.html Karen

Karen - that menu looks awesome - I wish we could all meet there for a Kippy's lunch! Let us know if you go and what you order.
Still beautiful weather here. I'm dropping DS at a friend's this morning and going spinning, and then we are swimming with family in the afternoon. I did a tough spin class yesterday, almost had a hard time making it until the end! For some reason I definitely do not feel as hungry when the weather is warm like this, a good thing I guess.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi all - how are ya? Karen - WOW that restaurant looks good, I would love to visit San Diego just to eat there LOL. Why don't they have anything like that in NJ. When you said raw foods I thought sushi which is yucky to me...I like this Cilantro place better! Let us know how you liked it. Susan - I hope your hiccups are gone? I feel the opposite of Beth - have been hungry lately which is not like me so I feel my diet must be missing something....have been up and down with the pounds for the last month, a lot going on at home with home improvements and decorating, I am hoping that is what is throwing me off. Dang life! I must concentrate.
