Back to journaling again, today is the start of a new week! Had WI this morning and down .4. Hopefully the scale will continue to move downward because I've been stuck for awhile.
Breakfast (not really - I don't eat before WI just bring coffee to meeting) Coffee w/ skim milk Snack: FF cottage cheese and FABULOUS yellow grape tomatoes from the Farmer's Market Lunch: Leftover WW pasta w/ FF Feta, FF tomato sauce and lots and lots of veggies. honeydew Snack: Weight Watchers Core cereal (really good) w/ strawberries & skim milk Predinner snack: more honeydew Dinner: turkey breast in slow cooker (YUM), ww couscous, cranberry sauce (pts), challah (pts), asparagus, butternut squash Dessert: "No pudge" brownie.
Good news: Froze two servings of turkey w/ couscous
Used 11 WPA's tonight so need to be careful tomorrow. We have a charity event and a friend's (adult) Halloween party. Feeling good about upcoming week overall.

YAY! That scale is moving in the right direction. Good for you.
BTW, our meeting location will no longer let us bring coffee because someone spilled it on their new rug. SUCH a bummer. Have a fantastic week!

We have a new rug too but so far no one has said anything and many of us there have coffee including the staff! I really feel deprived, chilly, etc. if I don't have it - I guess it's become part of my routine.
Well, I was much munchier this weekend then I would have liked. The charity event was fine, the dinner was a small piece of sea bass and a small filet of beef w/ risotto & peas (I only ate the peas) and some vegetables and to start was a delicious salad with poached pears. I had a glass of wine and I declined dessert (chocolate mousse). And the only appetizer I had was cubed ahi tuna in a cone of some sort. But then we got to the neighbor's party and I had probably 6 pieces of sushi and I was munching on honey mustard pretzels. Why? Why? Why? I wasn't hungry. I wish I had some gum on me. Then tonight I had some tortilla chips at a friend's house and another one of those no pudge brownies.
So - I am not even sure how to figure out all of those points except to say I plan on having a HARD CORE week with lots of activity and water. It's my TOM so it can go either way. I love getting back into the routine of the week on Monday. Weekends are always so challenging.
Making Core beef stew on Tuesday, have to get the rest of the ingredients tomorrow.

Did get TOM overnight as expected and woke up with a horrible headache. I took some Advil and I'm having my second cup of coffee now so I'm feeling better and should be able to go to spinning this morning. It's amazing how each instructor is so different. I mean the exercise is the same obviously but the music they choose and the way they motivate is different. I think I like the one I had yesterday the best so far.
I have NOT been eating my AP's as per leader's suggestion so we'll see what the scale has to say about that and what the plan of action will be for next week.
I spoke to my sister yesterday and she joined Jenny Craig (even though I did my best to discourage her) and she is at 130 trying to get to 115. I of course would like to kill her for that but that's not fair! We have always been built very differently and she is 5'2 and I'm 4'11 and right now I am really, really struggling to get to 130 and eventually 125. I'm happy for her though because she is in the process of starting a divorce and trying to get out of a very bad relationship so it's a good time for her to get in control of eating and exercise when it will be a very difficult time emotionally for her.

Sorry to hear of your sister's struggles. You are doing a fantastic job. It's so hard to not compare ourselves to our sisters, friends, co-workers, anyone on the street.... Just keep up doing the best for yourself that you can and you will make your goals. HIHO Katie

Well, I was very happy with my WI today. It seems a LONG time since I had losses two consecutive weeks. Now I've got to just keep on keepin' on. I've given up on reaching 125 by the end of the year because I seem to be losing VERY slowly right now. And I'm contemplating even raising my goal to 130 being that I'm 132 right now. I figure I'll give it until the end of the year and see what happens. I would love to end 2006 with being 129.8! That would be a huge accomplishment.
But otherwise, I was thinking about how this has been the healthiest year of my life. And one of my biggest NSV's to date is that I tried spinning and now I really like it I tihnk. I was so scared to try it. Maybe I will end the year by giving away my clothes. I am so afraid to do that though! I've lost weight once before and gave everytihng away and then when I put 20 pounds back on I had nothing to wear. I do not intend on doing that this time around but it is still scary to think of not having that stuff.
This week I have THREE pizza nights as well as Halloween. I have a plan I'm going to try really hard to stick to...
Night #1 - Saturday - out to pizza for best friend's birthday (his choice of restaurant) - I am going to order a salad and try not to salivate (remember I am in Chicago so this is deep dish delicious stuff we're talking about here).
Night #2 - Sunday - end of soccer season pizza party - I have asked my DH if we could tell the coaches we have a family dinner that night so we will be there for the trophies but not to count on us for pizza. SInce we are having pizza two other times this week I tihnk he is okay with that.
Night #3 - Halloween - my cousin always has the family over after trick-or-treating for pizza. This is the night I will allow myself to have it! She always orders a thin, lowfat cheese, extra veggie pizza for those on WW (there are a few of us). I also intend on spinning that morning.
Here's to the weekend!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I went to Chi Town and missed the deep dish thing entirely. Hope your salads are yummy and your pizza slices are small and just enough!

Well, Pizza Nights #1 and #2 are done with and I didn't have a bite of either. We did go out to a great steakhouse on Sunday and I had an 8oz. filet of beef, baked potato and steamed asparagus. It was delicous! I am looking forward to the pizza tonight. Last night we went out to dinner and I got a half BBQ chicken w/ baked potato and I immediately put half of it aside to bring home. I need to do this more often! I still have trouble with portion distortion sometimes.
Otherwise, the time change is still throwing my family for a loop! Although my DS seems to be sleeping in this morning unlike the last 2 mornings.
Off to spinning again today. People have said you can start to become addicted to it and of course I didn't believe that but I think I'm starting to really, really like it.
