Hi Beth,
Getting away sounds great. My DS still has one more week of camp and make up T-ball games next week as well as relatives coming in town to visit.
Enjoy your manicure, I'll be thinking of you while I am getting my pedicure tomorrow.
And good luck with WI

Hugs and crossing my fingers for you WI. TOM (me too) is always a little bumpy--I've had small gains around these times. Good luck!
And hope the weddding has plates and plates of veggies and fruit and that the cake is your least favorite flavor! ;D

Hey Kippy fans - it is good to be home! It was tough being away from my refrigerator and cupboard but I guess I made decent choices because I was down 1.8 pounds today without exercising once. Maybe I gave my system a jump start with having breaded chicken 2x and cake 2x. I don't know, I was definitely expecting a gain today. In any case, today starts a new week!
B: (WI today so not much) coffee w/ skim milk, half an apple (DS stole the apple so I ate what he didn't want).
L: leftovers from dinner - 3 shrimp, whole wheat pasta, tomato sauce, added brocoli
S: grapes, SF FF pudding
S: shredded wheat & bran, skim milk, blueberries
D: steak, corn on the cob, tomato/cucumber/avocado salad w/balsalmic vinegar
D: probably 2 point pistachio cookies w/ coffee
We are grilling for dinner with friends and eating outside. It's a gorgeous day here!

It was a rough weekend but I made pretty good choices overall. I have a few WPA's going into the week which is good. Today's focus is my 1:00 interview, which I'm a little nervous about. I'm dropping DS off at a playmate's this morning so I'll have some time to figure out what to wear, paint my nails, read over materials, etc. I already have butterflies in my stomach and it's only 7:30 in the morning!
We hosted an event here yesterday and I have leftover BBQ chicken up the wazoo! I'm going to freeze some in indiv. packets so I'll have it for over salads, etc.
Having coffee now, will report more food later!
-Beth

What type of job did you interview for. It's a hard decision to get back into the workforce. I hope all goes well for you. Katie

Hey! It is a membership associate (14-18 hours) with a local chapter Jewish women's organization called Hadassah. It seems like a good fit so I'm optimistic.

Since I haven't wrote since August 17 I can hardly call this a "Daily Journal"! It's time for me to start being accountable again.
Right now I'm at 134.2 and I'm trying to get to my goal of 125. The lowest I've been is 132.8 and I seem to not be able to get past that number. I guess my next mini-goal (and the goal I've been setting for these challenges) is 130. A fellow meeting goer suggested getting a more high fiber cereal and adding in more vegetables, which I thought was a great suggestion. It is frustrating because I feel I will never get there, but I'm trying to keep in mind that this is a journey for life and it's not a race. This week is TOM and with the holidays this past weekend I'm not expecting much at WI. With the cooler weather though I have started cooking again, which is great. Anyway, here's my day as I can see it right now...
B: Baked apple w/ FF yogurt, coffee L: turkey, couscous, string beans (leftover) D: halibut, brocoli, brown rice
S: High fiber cereal w/ strawberries S: SF/NF Latte
I'm taking the day off from exercising - I did kickboxing yesterday and my knee was bothering me last night (it is better today). It had me in a panic because I dealt with tendonitis & bursitis in my knee for 2 or 3 months in the early spring and did not exercise much at all. I knew what I was feeling last night wasn't tendonitis but in any case I'm going to take a break today, especially since it feels better. I was thinking of trying spinning tomorrow, I've heard it is an amazing workout and that may kick things up a notch!
Onward and downward...

Onward and downward for sure!
I've been having knee twinges too--scary. Glad to hear that you're making wise decisions about it so you can keep being active.

I stuck pretty much to my plan today except for a few additions:
B: Baked apple w/ FF yogurt, coffee L: turkey, couscous, string beans (leftover) D: halibut, brocoli, baked potato, tomato/basil/avocado salad with balsamic vinegar
S: High fiber cereal w/ strawberries S: SF/NF Latte S: plum S: chocolate SF/FF pudding
Also got in a pretty brisk 40 minute walk this afternoon that I wasn't intending to. My neighbor said she was strolling to the park and asked us to meet them. This park I usually drive to but I decided to put DS in his construction rider (he's 4.5 so he's out of strollers for a long time already) and pushed him to the park. I'm glad we did and I intend to do it again since it was much closer than I thought it was!
