Didn't do my plan but today will be a no sugar day for sure. Also will track points and stay as core as possible and work out.

I went in for my annual OB check the other day and she found a lump in my left breast. I had a benign lump removed last year and thought it was just a fluke. This one is larger. I am scheduled for a mammogram on the 8th and then will see the specialist on the 24th. It just feels too long and I am scared. Frankly I am just freakin' out. I don't want to have another lumpectomy but I guess if that is the worst of my problems I should be happy.

Thanks everyone. I sure appreciate the support. It actually helped to post here and just vocalize my fears. I am feeling a bit better today and not so obsessive about the lump. It will all be okay. We can only control some things in life and this is not one of them.

Cynthia, you know to take it one day at a time, and that you have a ton of support here. Some anxiety is normal and appropriate, and so is giving voice to your fears. you know that too. I'm thinking good thoughts for you. Keep us posted. -Karen

Well the mammogram came back inconclusive at best. They couldn't see any sharply outlines cysts but the area where the lump is contains a new set of "shadows" that were not there two years ago. They want me to go get an MRI so they can see it better and then do a biopsy based on that info. I was able to schedule the MRI for two weeks from now. It feels so long to wait for all this stuff. I hate feeling like I am trapped in my own head with all these fears.
I can't decide if I am relieved that it wasn't worse, or freaked out that it wasn't better.

The waiting is so hard! You will be able to keep your mind off it because you live such a full life. And you always have a place to let it all out in writing when you need to.

Well the mammogram came back inconclusive at best. ... It feels so long to wait for all this stuff. Oh honey! *hughughug* I want so much to encourage you to focus on good, positive thoughts and surround yourself with light. I know that saying that is like trying to ignore the elephant in the room, right? Just remember you are NOT alone. So many of us are holding you in our thoughts and sending you blessings. Be gentle with yourself. Hugs
