Beth, it's a loss, even if it's a small one. Those little losses add up to a big loss. I had a week of only a .2 loss, but I didn't let it get me down. I thought I should have lost more too, but that .2 helped get me to a 34 total loss right now. So I will keep on plugging away until I get to my goal. I've a long ways to go, but I'm getting there and that's what counts. I'm sure I'll have weeks that I gain, and maintain and even have small losses, but in the end, I am bound and determined to get there.
Coco, WTG! I have over 20 pounds to lose before I get to that point. But I'll get there eventually.
Cynthia, hope you are doing well!
Cathy, I just had to go through my bags of smaller clothes, and put away some of my fat clothes! I have a whole new wardrobe(although I have some things that I pulled out that I still need to lose another 5 or so pounds before I will wear them) and I didn't have to spend any money.

Tracie, I am also motivated by all my "skinny" clothes. I lost more than 50 pounds on Core, but am now 18 pounds over my ideal weight. As a result, all the really cute stuff doesn't fit any more, and I no longer feel comfortable in my clothes. I remember when I weighed under 140, I always felt good in my clothes, and didn't really want to change out of them at the end of the day. Now I come home and want to put on my pajamas or sweats, to get out of the pants that feel too tight. I may be at a reasonably healthy weight now, but it's not a comfortable one, and I got here by binge eating over the past 16 months.
I have had a couple of days of "not quite Core," getting a little side-tracked by the desserts and wine at the fundraiser last night. Today I will be totally on Core, and will get in some exercise. I will use some WPAs tomorrow, when my parents take us all out to dinner.
For the week, I am down a total of 3 pounds; my weight was back to 151 this morning. I am very happy with that number, however! Fluctuations happen and I am looking for a downward trend.
Have a great day everyone!

End Of Summer Challenge Cynthia - Xenagoddess: Goal lose 13 lbs.: -4 (Yeah!) Cathy -GirliePurple: Goal lose 10 lbs: -1.4 (Great Job!) +2.5 =+1.1 Tracie:More2Lose Goal lose 15 lbs: -.6(Great Start!) and -1.8 = -2.4 lbs Beth -ChicagoBeth: Goal lose 5 lbs: +1.4 (it happens to us all) and -.2 = +1.2 Coco:XOXOHeart: Goal lose 9 lbs.: -1 (keep going!) and -2 and -3 = -6lbs. A small comment: If I am making any mistakes in your numbers please let me know. It can be hard to keep track of everything so I am prone to miscalculating. Also if you don't like the running total you can also tell me and I can do yours differently. Do one brave thing today... then run like hell.

What a shitty, sad day. Our plans to have a wedding ceremony with our friends and family just came apart and I am so sad. My partner and I are still getting married, (legal now in CA) even though we have been together for 14 years, but not with family there. I don't get it. Why is this better?
Anyway, despite my desire to dive head first into an ice cream bowl, since I don't have to fit back into my wedding dress any more...I didn't. I haven't. I won't. I did workout and then ate some blueberries. I should be triple bonus AP points today for not crying at work.

Cynthia, I'm so sorry. Your friends and family should be celebrating with you and your partner. I just don't understand people sometimes. Good for you for taking care of your health during a stressful time . . . hugs.
My big challenge today will be going out to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants -- and it is French. I really do enjoy good food and this is a special occasion but I really haven't come up with a plan yet. I'm going to see if they have a menu online. I'll use points but probably rely more on portion control and NO BREAD than tinkering with the ingredients.

How perfect . . . I just checked out the menu online and I can get Nicoise salad and just count points for the extra oil I'm sure will be used in the dressing (or get it on the side) or salmon, depending on what the sauce is (didn't look like there was one), and again coint points for any oil they use in the prep. Add one nice glass of wine and I'm all set.

Hi girls! Cynthia, I'm so sorry about your wedding plans being shook up. Your family and friends should be there. Not sure what the problem is but I'm sorry for you. Your wedding day should be shared with the people that care about you. Coco, sounds like you have everything figured out for your french dinner. Yummy, sounds delicious! I have not been very good this weekend I ate fritos and cheetos. That's not so terrible as I had points to cover that, but I haven't gotten all my fruits/veggies in and I feel so bloated. My TOM should be arriving soon, but I feel a gain is guaranteed this week. My scale says so anyway. I so don't want to gain, but it seems inevitable. Oh well, life goes on. I am back op today, although still lacking some fruits/veggies and don't want to eat anymore tonight. I'm not hungry. I did plan for the week though. I made up a double batch of my core cherry berry jam for my core pancakes in the mornings. I also made another huge pot of vegetable beef barley soup(my family ate the whole pot I made last weekend), so I can bring it for lunches. I also made up some buffalo chicken burgers, so I can bring those for lunches as well. Plus I made a double batch of core carrot cake muffins, for snacks or breakfasts. I froze most of them, so I can just take one out of the freezer in the morning to have for an afternoon snack at work. I need to get some more exercise in though. Haven't gotten in the pool all weekend. Tomorrow will be better.

Hi everyone - you are doing so well despite life's challenges... Beth - any loss is a loss - I lost very little for 4 weeks but I was happier than when I had that gain last week LOL! Xena - }}HUG{{ So sorry about your wedding plans, I don't know what happened but I hope you can work things out so everyone can attend. Very very huge NSV for not stress eating over it, good for you. I can't add with a calculator so I am very appreciative of your keeping track of my numbers for me! Tracie - Coco - I would love to clothes shop in my closet too but can't for now ... I have to try on things to pack for vacation next week, see what fits and leave behind what won't look good... some day I will fit into them all again! I had a great time at the wedding Saturday and lunch yesterday with family for my Mom's birthday but now I am back on track! (as much as I can be). Got exercise in Sat. before wedding at least. I have a lot to do this week but I plan to keep my regular routine amidst all the packing and last minute shopping. Sorry it's so big - I keep trying to resize it! Have a good day!

Cathy, what a great picture! You are a cute couple (and you look very svelt!).
I am really proud of myself for staying away from the bread at the restaurant last night. I stuck to my plan. I did "splurge" on a small bag of pretzels (160 calories) at the play because I was starving, had forgotten to bring fruit, and dinner was still two hours away. I did not want to show up at the restaurant starving, because then I would probably eat the bread (and more than one piece!). Also had two glasses of wine; one at the play and one with dinner. All in all I used 8 points, but had earned 4 APs yesterday.
Today at work I skipped the bagels that somebody brought us as a gift. I am feeling very strong.

Great picture Cathy! You two really do make a nice looking couple!
Coco, 8 points is nothing, for an evening out, and really it was only 4 points because of your AP's. Great job!!

I'm getting too excited to work. Coco - great NSV for you too - your strength is motivating me! Talk to ya's later!

Hi all,
I'm feeling really motivated today -- last day of summer school! I love feeling like I'm in that Core groove; I'm strong and there is no temptation that could seriously derail me. Living the Core life just makes me feel better!

OK. It's a fact. Up one pound but that is barely the end of the world. Things are better between my partner and I, so I am feeling like everything is going to be fine. We compromised about the wedding so I will be able to have my family there. I guess that is marriage...compromise.
I need to make sure that I am doing core... not coreish. Stay to the plan.
Today, I finally have a few hours to myself. I love being by myself sometimes. It is quiet and I usually get a lot of work done.
I am taking the second section of the Lieutenant's test for my fire department at the end of August. I took the first section in May which counted for about 70%. So this section is much smaller and I think it will be way easier. The test was part of my motivation for getting back into WW. I know my weight shouldn't have anything to do with this test, but it will be video taped! I want the graders to look at it and thing, "Wow. She is a really good instructor." Not, "Wow she could lose a few pounds." I know it is superficial but that is the world we live in. Anyway, the outline for the test came out today and that gives me a guideline for how to start studying. I am sick of studying. I have been working on these tests since January.
Well I know it is a bit of a rambling post so thanks for listening. Hugs, Cynthia
Coco: I love how confident you are! Excellent! Cathy: You are beautiful. What a nice photo of you both. Tracie: You inspire me with your planning. I might have to copy you.

Cynthia, that's great that you two worked things out! Now it will be a happy day all around! I have been wanting to eat everything in site the last 2 days. I don't know why. I have been only eating core foods, but I am eating more than usual. I need to stop. My wi tomorrow isn't going to be pretty Oh well, life goes on.
