What an amazing story! I love lions but I've never seen one act so dog-like and sweet; thanks for sharing, Cynthia.
I sometimes visit the WW Core board and most people are nice, but there is definitely a group of people who nitpick or look for controversy. It's easy to avoid, though.
Tracie, at least what you ate was Core. It is truly hard to do too much damage that way, even if you feel you've overeaten. If you have a gain this time, it will probably even out next week. Good luck!
I went to a happy hour party last night with the best of intentions. I brought shrimp cocktail and edamame to share, and stuck to that and a veggie platter. But then the hostess brought out some hot hors d'oeuvres she had baked, and I took one just to be "polite." So silly of me. I ended up having a few, as well as some baked chips and too much wine. It's okay though; that's what APs and WPAs are for. But no more taking food just to be polite; that's too silly. So much for feeling strong!!!!!

Ah you are just mortal like the rest of us. Strong one day and weak the next. It doesn't sound like it was the worse thing you could have done. Thank god for WPA and AP otherwise none of us would survive any parties anywhere.

Well, I had my wi today and I lost .6!!! I thought for sure I was going to gain, so I'll take a .6 loss any day!!! So, you can update me. I'm up to 3 pounds now, I think.

Yay Tracie! All those little losses will add up over time. I had an all Core day, no WPAs yesterday. My sister comes today; she is staying with my parents and DD and I are going over there for dinner tonight. So I won't have control over the menu, but *usually* my mom serves very healthy food, and always fruit for dessert. I'm going to call her and offer to bring something. My other strategy today will be to get some exercise, earn some APs. DD and I are going to walk the dog, then go to Starbucks; I think I'd also like to go to the gym. Have a great day, everyone!

Hello everyone - how's it going? Cynthia - those lion videos have been making the rounds in e-mails, I love them! Beautiful. The WW Core board has a clique that can seem nasty. I never go on there anymore, not even to lurk or find recipes. I like it here better and at Dotti's. Tracie - I would say great job on "overeating" on Core only! Coco - I think good job at the cocktail party, I would have done much worse, but I agree - that's what WPAs and APs are for, so we can live! You're still strong. Have fun with your sister, good plan for APs. I lost .8 last night so update those stats! LOL it's something, before vacation. At least next time I WI I won't whine because I'll know I had a great vacation. I am hoping to, 2 days until we leave for OC, MD!! ;D Have a great day!

I just watched your you tube video with my 6-year-old... we loved it! So sweet.
Well, weigh in is tomorrow. I've had a GREAT week, so I will be really disappointed if it doesn't show. I tracked (I'm a flex follower) and worked out every day this week. I'll keep you posted!
We have a date night Saturday night with another couple - DS is sleeping out. I think we're also going to try and catch Mama Mia. Nothing too challenging food-wise that I'm concerned about.
We just booked our 10th anniversary trip - a long weekend in New Orleans. Has anyone been there? We both have not, we're excited. And I'm not going to get hung up about the food there, because I know that is a big part of the experience and I intend to partake in the beignets, muffaletta, gumbo, etc. just to try it. HOPEFULLy - I will have hit my goal by then! We leave September 5th.
Everyone sounds like they're doing well! I'm glad to see some activity on Kippy's again!

Hi, challenge friends!!I'm on vacation next week - I will miss you but I won't miss work - so excited - looking forward to Ocean City, MD!! Whoops - Xena - see how bad I am with numbers, I just noticed my stats - I had gained 2. 8 last week, not 2.5 ... just to keep it honest! Hi, Beth - you go girl! You are all doing so great. I'll post my official "loss" (probably a maintaining week; it's TOM) tomorrow. However, I did resist ice cream with hot fudge sauce for dessert last night; had watermelon instead (it helps that watermelon is actually my favorite food). Also walked a lot with my sis. Today we are visiting a museum and having two meals out; that will be my challenge. The museum makes really great fresh salads with mustardy vinagrette, fish, etc. So I'll do that and use WPAs for extra oil; for dinner I ought to be able to have some kind of lean grilled meat or fish. "See" you all tomorrow!

Coco: Sound like you are in a good groove! I am going to a Frida Kahlo exhibit today with a friend also. Lots of good salads there to eat as well plus all that incredibly slow walking around the museum.
Cathy: Have a great trip. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

I lost another .2 at WI today - I am bummed! For some reason my body is not letting go. I am working out a lot and using my AP's, I think Imay try to up my protein a bit this week. I'm not sure where else to turn! I've been following those 8 HG's, etc.
Anyway, I'm not going to let it get me down.
