Hi everyone! I saw the invite on the WW Board and wanted to join you. I have set my goal at 6,500 points for April. I have to tell you I am so excited about this because I had set a goal for myself of running a marathon but knees just will not agree with me. However, this Challenge seems like a good exercise goal... I have my eyes set on achieving the gold medal... eventually. I know it will take me a while because I am a Core and exercise newbie (Winning Points Lifetime Member and Flex Drop out). I look forward to getting to know all of you. Good luck to everyone in achieving their goals!

Thank, everyone, for the encouragement. I've decided to alternate WATP with Tai Chi Chih. I used to do the Tai Chi routine on a regular basis up until about two years ago. It's a good contrast, I think, with the WATP. And, my favorite teacher is offering a class beginning this Tuesday. So, guess who signed up for it? ;D
Thank you, Hippomommy, for reminding me not to belittle my efforts.

I'm back again, I had to give up recording my points on the presidents challenge, I'm sure it is operator error, but for the life of me the markers for points earned were all over the board and then would disappear. Strangest thing. But I am doing cicuit training MWF and my treadmill TTHS, sunday off or any play. I also have been having trouble with my weight ticker. All of a sudden I am computer challenged! Maybe next week when I am not about to hurl my computer across the room I will attempt a new ticker and the points on the president's challenge site. So in the mean time I am aiming for 5000 points for April.

Okay, I just joined. This is exciting, I have never done this before. I'm not sure what to do next. I guess when I exercise tomorrow I will start logging it in. Guess I need to get me a ticker.

hey there prechaz!
Lots of active people running around here...brava!
I got in 488 pp's today and a bunch Sat and Sun too... I love that i count my dance classes here; I don't do it for AP's so it's nice to get "credit" for them somewhere. I'm chugging away towards my first medal.
Keep up the moving mojo everyone!

Greetings, PreCha's
I made it to the gym today, though I'm not feeling great; must be allergies.
Managed to do an hour of brisk walking, varying the incline.
Keep moving, everybody.

Happy Tuesday Everyone.
I decided to try the Firm. I bought the Fast and Firm Cardio at Wal-Mart to try it out before investing too much money. Does anyone know if all of their videos are so intense? I can't keep up with all of the changes and footwork so I just do my own thing quite a bit. I can't imagine keeping up their pace for a full hour. I've tried it twice and will keep trying. I've also done the WATP 2 mile a couple of times and walked/jogged a couple of times around the soccer field during the kids practice today.
Thanks for all the support everone. Keep up the good work!

stretchmi,
I think many of the Firm videos are pretty tough. I have the interval training one and it doesn't have too elaborate dance-type movements, but I still had to sit through it and watch before I attempted it. The first few times, I faked it in many places, too. After a while it got easier, but it never was a cinch. I'd still do it if I had more room. Keep it up, and you will be well rewarded, I promise.

hiya precha gals..
i am starting april off w/ a bang. i am really trying to boost my not-at-work exercise and have walked 5 miles both m and t this week and am trying to fit that in again today.
I have over 2000 pp's already this month!
I wrote in my journal about an article in runners world that said something about fit people getting less bang for the exercise buck... something i've secretly wondered about. When my sluggish spouse would exercise a little he'd start losing weight immediately and at the time i was teaching 13 aerobics classes plus dance classes and taking a few classes too, each week and i just maintained...
so i'm trying to mix it up with walking and hopefully this week returning to running (at my speed it's more like plodding but I'll take what i can get!).
keep up the good work prechaz!

Squeezed in a quick cardio circuit at the gym, today. My back is feeling much better, and I think I'll be in shape for a heavy lifting session this week.

Welcome to everyone, especially the newcomers to the President's Challenge. Wow, it's exciting to see everyone moving!
I went to the gym and earned 8 APs today -- 60 minutes on the stationary bike at high intensity (as measured by heart rate monitor) and 10 minutes of jogging on the treadmill. Phew!
I took a couple of extra days off from the gym earlier this week, due to a crummy cold, so I'm trying to catch up on my schedule. . . .
Keep moving and reporting to the President, everyone!

Good job Ellie Mae! Nice to have you join us.
I took yesterday off of exercising and took my kids to the zoo. 2 mi WATP this morning, but added extra arm movement to up the intensity. I think I will try to fit in the Firm video again today.
