Shaddox, Check out the Tech Playground boards down below. There's a Help board with info about putting the tickers into your Profile here.

Hi prechaz,
I am SO in for April. Going for 10,000 points and at least 25 ap's each week beyond my normal dance schedule. Couldn't get my new exercise ticker to "take" but will try on the weekend.
So glad we are keeping up with this! It REALLY helps my weight loss endeavors if i get off my tush!
Welcome new challengers and huzzah to the vets!

I'm in! Doing the same after-work exercise class routine that has been so much fun and helped me meet new friends. The main idea is to never go straight home after work, but to exercise first. It makes me feel fantastic, a real great way to unwind, unburden the brain, leave the day behind. Every few weeks I miss a day because of staff meetings. I don't try to make it up anymore, using the FlyLady motto: "You don't have to catch up because you are not behind." I never have to exercise on weekends, but sometimes I do anyway.

Diss05,
I also do the WATP. Just did the 3 mile for the first time yesterday. Feels good to get that far. ;D. I just started this challenge in March. I figure about 225-250 points for a 30 min WATP. That might help you in setting a goal. I waaay underestimated when I started.
I'm glad everyone could join. Good luck to you all!

Shaddox,
After you set up your ticker there will be a box that says bbCode. If you cut and paste the stuff in that box into your signature it should give you your ticker. Good luck!

I revised my April Goal for this challenge. If I hit 10000, I will have achieved my third Silver Award. I think I can do it; last year, I did over 11000 in April.
I started the month off today with a Cardio Coach guided workout on the bike. It's like a private spin class. I did the Steady State segment twice, and that's one of the benefits of these recorded workouts: being able to rewind or fast-forward. Then, a nice, long stretching session.
My Observation Today: The Number One Reason to work out at the same club as the Fire Dept: If you need a Paramedic, one is nearby.
Today, an elderly woman was exercising alone and had some trouble. Lucky for her, the crew of Truck #3 was there working out and they were able to respond immediately. I don't know any specifics, but she left in an ambulance.
I always appreciate our firefighters and today was another reminder. Thanks, Xena...

Okay, I think I have a better idea of what I'm doing. I'm doing the Active Lifestyle challenge - going for six weeks of 30 minutes a day at least 5 days week. May not sound like much to some of you, but i'll be happy if it gets me in the habit of movin'!! Congratulations, stretchmi, on the 3 mile. Someday, I hope to join you . . . I did the 2 mile with the weights for the first time today and lived to tell about it. I'm encouraged that I will be able to do this.

diss05, I did just what you are doing to start with - 30 min x 5x/week. It really got me going to the point that I could appreciate how great I felt with daily exercise. I'm still tracking every exercise class I go to, and I'm 55% of the way to Bronze. Keep up the good work!

I woke up early this morning and did the WATP Walk and Kick. This is not easy on the knees. It didn't hurt as much as last time though. I'll give it a few more tries before I give up. I was actually having trouble sitting still tonight so I put in the one mile WATP. How wierd to think that I actually wanted to exercise twice today. Who'd have thunk it?

Way to go, everyone! And Diss, do not think that the Active Lifestyle challenge is any "less than" anything others may be doing. Believe me, we all started somewhere. For me, and probably many others, 30 minutes 5 days a week would've been too much in the beginning, so that tells me that you're in pretty good shape to begin! The key is to start where you honestly are, and just get a bit more active. Build gradually, as you become willing to do more. No point in overdoing it. Just moving most days is a great beginning goal. Soon you'll be amazed by your body's response! Keep posting, and don't belittle your efforts. You're doing it! And way to go, Stretch! Listening to our bodies is a key part of Core -- you did it! I got in 40 minutes at high intensity today -- stationary bike and super-brisk treadmill walking on 5.0 incline. WI is tomorrow. Woo hoo. See you all tomorrow night.
