I am really feeling fat. If I gain (maybe even if I don't lose) this week, I think I might do a week on Flex, just to get the appropriate portion sizes in mind.

That is exactly what I am thinking! I have not been in good control the last few days. Not planning, not pushing the water, snacking too much, eating till stuffed.....scale is up!
Today I am hoping to get back in control...unfortunately I am busy today and won't be home to cook....so tomorrow might be better!
Hang in there....and you have a great day!!

Thanks, Marcia. Have you gotten back on track yet? I haven't, but tomorrow night's my weigh-in, so that should help. I hope. I've been eating too much.
I grilled a steak outside tonight and had that with a baked sweet potato, one of my favorite meals, and I hardly tasted it. I'd eaten too much during the day and wasn't even hungry. I don't like that feeling. I do think I'm ready to get back on track.
I have been keeping up with Curves, and Wednesday night I went back to my exercise class. It was two nights a week, one being Monday, same time as WW, so after I joined WW I joined Curves and quit going to the class. But the class is a harder workout (as my sore muscles can attest to!). I'm going to start back with Wednesday nights, at least for the summer.
I sure hope so.

Hi Kelican, Thank you for your concern. And I hope you are doing well. Did you decide to go on Flex for awhile? I thought about going on Flex....but decided to try planning again. Started planning my 6 meals again and trying to stick to the plan....alleviates the constant tendency to snack all of the time. Actually planned for a 6 in. Subway yesterday!! Really was very, very good. I used all of my 35 WPA this week!!! So am curious to see what the scale says at weigh in today!! Glad to see you are going back to exercise class. I am so proud of you....I wish I could get my "rear in gear" and do that. I did ride my Exercise bike yesterday for 2 miles...not a great achievement....but better than nothing! Wishing you a great day and weigh in!!
Marcia

Thanks, Marcia I just looked at the Monday weigh-in report and see that you had a good loss this week ;D Congrats! I'll leave in a little over an hour for WW, and I'm concerned, but at least a little optimistic. Kelly

I lost 1.2 last night. Not great, but I knew I'd only done so-so, so I'm okay with that. I start "my" WW week on Tuesday, and I've already used a bunch of my weekly points today. In a way, that should make my week easier because I just have to stick to the Core list. At least that's how I'm going to look at it I do have sort of an NSV -- I have a friend who's going to WW, too. She started after I did, and has gone from size 18 to size 16. I've gone from 24 to 20. She was sure I'd be in 18s now, and yesterday she gave me a bunch of hand-me-downs -- mostly pants, but one light-weight sweater that's a bit too tight but should be great for fall, when it should fit, and a bathing suit that looks like it will fit much better than the size 24s I've got in my drawer right now. Anyway, the pants are the 18s she's outgrown, and I'm just hoping most of them will fit me when school starts in August. However, there are three pairs I can wear (I tried them all on). It has been a really, really long time since I've worn anything in size eighteen! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

WONDERFULLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
How terrific to be in an "18" !!!! I am so happy for you...you are doing just great. Now, for the rest of the week....plan your meals really well with lots of snacks so you don't miss your WPA.
Congratulations on your loss....you were worried!!
Have a great day!!

Thanks, Marcia I did lose 1.4 lbs this last week, which means that in two weeks I re-lost 2.6 of the 4 pounds I'd gained the previous two weeks. Not fantastic, but I can deal with this (I wore a pair of the 18 pants to WW Monday, just because I could ;D ) I got measured at Curves today -- according to their scales, my weight actually went up 1 1/4 lb (I think -- I don't have the printout in front of me), but my percentage of body fat went down (it has every month) and I lost 2 3/4 " (again, I think). I've been going to the Fit for Life exercise classes the last two Wednesdays -- the teacher would like to change the class from Mondays and Wednesdays to Tuesdays and Thursdays, anyway, and I think she might use the fact that the Monday night class is at the same time as the only Weight Watchers class in town as an argument to change it. I hope that works out, maybe after school starts in a month -- I like Curves, and could still do that three days a week, but the exercise class is a much more strenuous workout. Starting today, I've made a new commitment to portion control -- I'm determined to learn how to recognize hunger (today, I've thought I was hungry all day -- until I got my mind on something else and forgot about it). I'm thinking about the recent thread on the General board, in which several people talked about how they are dealing with the issue of portion control. Also, there's an article about that in the new Curves magazine. So, I guess, I'm focusing on portion control and exercise for a while. My good thing: I had a hot dog craving the other evening (getting close to the Fourth, I guess), so I fixed a couple for myself. IT WAS HORRIBLE My dog got to enjoy them (he finished up the package this morning).

Okay, the fact that I've deleted my ticker should tell the story I've gained almost six pounds over the past two weeks (I really don't get why I can't lose weight that fast ). My regular weigh-in is tonight, and I'm hoping it is better. I haven't gone to my regular meetings for two weeks -- the week before last there was no meeting because it was the Fourth, and I didn't manage to get to another meeting till Friday; last Monday I was out of town and busy, but I went to another out-of-town meeting again Friday. So it's just been three days since the last weigh-in. Hopefully I can't have gained THAT much in three days Hopefully I will have lost. I had planned to do SOOOOO well over summer vacation, but I'm going to be doing well to weigh the same on the last day of vacation as I did the first. I will put my ticker back on after weigh-in tonight, no matter what. Let's just hope it's not TOOOOO bad. Kelly

I did pretty well yesterday -- would have been extremely well except that I got hungry last night and at more than I'd planned to (but still much, much, much better than I have been doing).
I'm going to visit my parents for a few days. I'll try to make a WW meeting there, since I'll miss my Monday night meeting here.
I AM going to succeed!!!!!

Thanks, sunshine I did go down 1.2 pounds last week -- not nearly as fast as it was going up, but at least it's the right direction

Thanks, Jane Yea, I would have been a bit bummed if I hadn't lost Monday. I'm doing pretty well so far this week, too (of course, it is just Wednesday). I hate that I spent the summer gaining, but I'm trying not to focus on that now.
