Hi, Barb ;D - I'm definitely starting C25K on Sunday. If it rains I will run on my treadmill - I'm determined. I've been on a plateau for almost a year and have to start exercising more, shake things up a bit. I think the first week session is "only" 30 minutes? I can walk/run for 30 minutes. I want to find a 3 mile route around my neighborhood - of course I didn't do this beforehand, but if I end up too far from home I will just walk the rest of the way and get more exercise in! I will report back Monday! P.S. I can't believe I forgot to post I lost .4 at WI on Wednesday...so now I am back where I started before vacation. Gotta get down more.

Hi all -- I maintained again this week. I have to admit I really haven't been trying, other than stepping on the scale every morning. This next week will be flexible as far as work goes, so I plan to sleep in a little bit every morning and go for some nice walks, possibly hit the gym.

Hi All! I wi Thursday and gained .6, but that's ok. I ate quite a lot of bad things on vacation and thought it would be worse than that. I guess all that bike riding paid off!

HI all,
I am so sorry that I haven't been posting. My dear friend's 2 month old baby passed away and then later that same evening I found out that my co-worker had killed himself. The week was filled with funerals and oddly enough celebrating my sons 9th birthday.
I am also very busy studying for my Lieutenants test which is this friday.
Life is just over full. I won't promise that I will post this week, but next week I will be back.
Cathy: Could you take over as score keeper? Please.

Cynthia, Hugs to you. Life certainly does go on, in the midst of dying there is always living. I'm sure you were holding your son extra close to your heart during this difficult week. Good luck on your exam; I will be thinking of you.

}}}}Cynthia!!!!!{{{{ OMG I'm so sorry about the horrible things that just happened... and hope your DS had a nice birthday. Real big hug. Good luck on your test. I would love to take over a scorekeeper but I don't know how!! I just copy your post to a new one and update the stats? I will use a calculator - everyone keep an eye on my adding/subtracting! I started Week 1 Day 1 of C25K yesterday, really enjoyed it. I will keep up with this...as well as my other exercise. Eating this weekend was not the greatest but not the worst. TMI but I think I am truly experienceing perimenopause in its earliest stages...I think I gained a bra size this weekend for no reason. Sigh....better not show up on the scale, I am drinking water to beat the band today. Have a good day, everyone!

Hey everyone - I hope you're all doing well. Well Tracie is!! ;D Awesome job, Tracie!!! I lost .6 last night which I am happy with. I updated the stats. I did W1D2 of C25K on Tuesday night and I'll do D3 today after work. I guess it's working... either the shake-up to my exercise or the fact that I am exercising more, or both... is working. Because I didn't journal the candy I ate this week, about 6 minis who knows why ... but I still lost. Gotta give that up, we're having a fundraiser at work and someone has a bucket of the stuff out.

Hi girls! It doesn't look like I'm going to make my 15 pounds by the end of the summer, but I should make it half way. At least it's a loss. The summers are harder for me because I have more cocktails by the pool and on vacation. Even though I have fresh fruit and fresh veges in the summer, there is also more pool parties, and cocktails and vacation, etc. So I seem to lose weight better, when it's not summer. But, the good thing is, I lost this summer instead of gaining. So I'm not complaining. I just won't make my 15 pounds, but I'll see how close I can get in the next few weeks!

I've gone for two days with no sugar, and if nothing else, I'll count that as a victory! My goal is to go without sugar until Sunday. We are having a collaborative dinner party, and I want to enjoy what everybody has worked on making, so I'll have a small indulgence that night.
Over the past couple of days I've realized how difficult it is for me to work AND exercise. Pathetic, I know. I tend to over-focus on work, and then fall into a heap of exhaustion when I get home. In a couple of weeks I'll have to add grad school to the mix as well. It will be more important than ever to take care of myself, eat well, and get in some walks.
I'll weigh in tomorrow, but it won't be pretty . . .

Good morning everyone,
I weighed myself today and I am actually down a lb! I can't believe it. Today is my test and to top it all off they found a lump in my partners breast and she is having it removed this morning.
So I will take any prayers out there:
1) that she is cancer free 2) that i can go from the surgery (and any news we get) to my test focused and confident.
Weight control is good but in the end this is really all about health.
Cynthia
