You are welcome. I don't mind doing the stats, but I find I really don't participate in the conversation that much when I am doing it. I am looking forward being active in this challenge. Hopefully it will help me focus.
I had a core lunch (didn't eat the crossant rolls) and am happy about that. I am going to work out later and make this work for this challenge.
Peace, Cynthia

I was not exactly wildly successful on any of the challenges so far, but this seems to be the mail place where there's activity on the board, so is it OK if I come along for the ride again for this year-end challenge without formally stating any goals.
I have been focusing on doing more cooking for me and my family, which is going well. I'm not a bad cook, but I've never been responsible for the family's meals, and DH just buys take out food most nights. When I went back to WW 4.5 years ago I started making my own dinners, but didn't make much effort to cook for the family, and then got back out of the routine of doing that while dealing with having another kids and DS#1's behavior issues and the fallout on the rest of the us. So that's a bit of a focus of late.
I'm trying to get more activity in my life. I won an iPod, so I got some good music to walk to and loaded it on, as well as subscribing to a podcast about the psychological aspects of weight loss. Hoping that will help keep me focused and interested in exercise. I also got a GPS running trainer, which is like a GPS pedometer. Accurate distances walked/run/biked and many parameters for feedback, which I think well be encouraging.

Oh, and since I'm a Henchwoman, I archived the trick-o-treat challenge, since someone asked for that to happen but didn't know how. Hope that's OK with everyone.

Yeee Haaaa!!! I love the start of a new challenge. Time to let the old go, and move on. I'm looking forward to this next 2 months on many levels. As far as my goals? I like the k.i.s.s. plan also. Track wpa, and eat Core. I've let myself get caught up in extra junk over the past couple weeks, and now is the time to focus on the healthy, clean stuff. LET'S GET GOING!!! KATIE

HI HOliday challengers ...look it's another HiHO!! I'm in. I would like to lose 10 pounds but will be content with 8 and won't begrudge any weight loss. I'm a pokey girl, at least when it comes to dropping these pesky pounds. I am also going to try and stop being so judgemental about myself. I HAVE to share this clip that our own Uber-Faboo Night shared with me... it brought tears to my eyes, with its true and sad commentary about the way our culture views "beauty". It's very short, maybe 2 minutes. www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/This is a spot by Dove, as in the soap, not the chocolate (!) see you soon, friends. sulee

I am back on CORE again...been on for four days. I am higher on the scale (175) than I have been this entire year and with a high-goal weight of 145 for a 5'4" person I do think it is time to nip this in the bud. This Challenge makes a LOT of sense to me right now. My husband will be away 1 week then home the next till the end of the year so...should be a good time to do what needs to be done...right? And, since we don't have many real celebratory type events to worry about all should be just fine!
So...my goals... 1. To stick to the program as much as possible. I do not have as many of the items available as were here before the embargo so do allow some of the UK-NoCount Foods and have only fruits/veggies for snacks during the day. 2. Eat only 5 non-core foods daily unless I save from one day to use on another. 3. Eat a protein, fat and carb at each meal 4. Follow the 8 HGH 5. Lose weight but more than that...feel good!

Welcome back Cathy! I am always glad to see you post.
It seems like everyone is feeling postivie and very clear about just doing the plan and KISS.
I did OK yesterday. A small dive into the chip bowl was my big down point but no real sugar the day after Halloween is a huge success for me. I worked out this morning already. YEAH!
I am going to go visit my firefighter friend who is very sick from Breast Cancer. I am steeling myself for the worse since it has now spread to her lungs. Just going to take care of the two year old and try to be a good help around the house. It just brakes my heart.
It is raining her in SF. Feels like winter has arrived.
Peace, Cyn

Cyn, So sorry to hear of your friend with breast cancer. It is so sad to see a friend/loved one dealing with life and death issues while trying to make sure family is also cared for (while caring for self, too). Your friend has a wonderful gift in your friendship! I decided that being accountable to a group would be good for me. So far so good today staying on Core...it is NOT as easy here but perhaps even healthier since I do not have things like diet puddings and such to even tempt me... Hope you have a good and meaningful time with your friend. Live in the moment and make memories to take along in life with you Hugs, Cathy in Fih, Lebanon

Good morning!
I'm definitely in and setting more concrete goals for myself than last time:
1) To lose 8 lbs. by Dec. 31 2) To get ALL my 8HGs at least 5 days/week (oil and f/v can be tricky for me) 3) To start and complete the Couch to 5K program (as soon as my big walk is over) 4) Be VERY mindful of feeling "satisfied" versus "full"
Cyn - Next weekend is my Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. I'll keep your friend in my thought as a reminder of why I'm there.
