Did you rent a good movie lately? Did you see a good one on TV? Did you take the kids to the cinema? Tell us about it here!

A few weeks ago we went to see The Longest Yard. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but not the worst either. Got a few laughs out of it.......

This summer I've enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Dark Water, and War of the Worlds.
I'm looking foward to seeing Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Has anyone seen it yet?

We rarely go to the movies since there are 5 of us, but we do buy dvds when they come out. The last one was The Pacifier. We all liked it.

we went to "War of the Worlds" good special effects, not so great other wise. We also went to "Mr.&Mrs. Smith" thought it was pretty good. DH would go to a movie every week-end if there was one to interest him. I have to be in the right mood.

We are 30 miles from a theater, so we usually rent movies. National Treasure was good. DH saw Hidalgo and Coach Carter and really liked both.

Which scene didn't you like? The one in the home when they go all out on each other -- specifically where he starts kicking the couch. A little too much...um...domestic violence imagery for my peace of mind. Loved the movie on the whole, but that scene...

Ronda, I totally agree about that scene. Loved the movie otherwise (especially the first half), and thought it was fairly witty, for an American film, in its take on marriage/relationships. And OMG could those two human beings be any more gorgeous?!

The Notebook was on one of the movie channels last weekend. AWESOME love story!! But keep the kleenex nearby!
Another good one we saw recently was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Kate Winslet (sp?) and Jim Carey. OMG I was really surprised at how good this movie was. Jim Carey in a serious role? I was like, yeah right! But it's so gooood! It's a bit strange and hard to follow at times - but if you're looking for a love story with some odd twists and turns, you'll like it.

I took myself to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over the weekend, and I heard myself laugh out loud at least a couple of times. I really enjoyed that.
I'll admit, I can enjoy about any movie at a theater. I'm much more critical when I watch them on my little TV.
