I saw Crash this weekend- it was pretty good...my only complaint is it was dark (everything was at night) so my eyes hurt

The last movie I saw was SAW 2...I know, pretty sick, but I have to admit I am a BIG horror buff! GREAT movie, but hubby didn't like it too much....he's a comedy freak!

Saw "Just Like Heaven" a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. I am a chick flick lover, though. DH loved it also, though and he's typically not a chick flick lover. Got my HP tickets and I'm knitting a Weasley sweater for dd. Can't wait!

We saw the new Zorro movie today. I thought it was great. Lots of unbelievable action and nothing serious about it. My kind of movie

Ohhh I missed The Departed but really want to see it--especially after the Golden Globes.
We rent so much new and old stuff. I finally saw Dead Man Walking on Christmas eve. It was a perfect Christmas movie in my opinion.

Everyone has to see Dreamgirls - it left me absolutely speechless. I loved it. It is going to sweep the Oscars I bet. My other favorite from last year is Little Miss Sunshine which I think you can rent now. It has a great cast and it is laugh out loud funny - I agree with you Katherine!

LOVED Little Miss.... What really killed me too was that the head of that EVIL pageant was the same actress who played an equally all-the-bad-things-possible-about-stage-mom-types character in another movie that i adore... Donnie Darko. Now I DON'T do horror films EVER! so i didn't see it when it was first released but once friends convinced it wasn't scary I went and LOVED it. Make NO mistake, it's very strange and does have a scary moment but.. worth it!
I just saw CHildren of Men. Riveting, DARK, violent, uplifting. Kind of a nativity story for London 2027. Clive Owens was amazing. but i spent a LOT of time covering my eyes!
Here's a dirty little secret from your friend the dancer... I HATE musicals!! so I may not get to dreamgirls despite the rave review from Beth and others. Altho I guess this musical is not a walking down the street and breaking into song type but rather the story of the origins of a Motown type of studio...so the singing makes sense in the construction of the story... so i MIGHT be able to tolerate it!!

Sulee and others - Jennifer Hudson's solo in the movie is worth the price of admission - I promise. I have never had chills like that - ever. It was unreal.

I heard the Jennifer Hudson was so much better than Beyonce! Haven't seen the movie yet, I don't see many movies...it will probably be a rental for me, if at all.
