I'm in! I joined the president's challenge awhile ago, but forget to update..... So aside from commitment to exercise my goal is to record my points. I will do circuit training 3 days a week and the treadmill 2-3 times per week I am hoping to get out on my bike here soon also. 2 months ago someone stole my husbands bike, (I hope who ever took it is getting their exercise!)so we need to go buy him a new one! It's more fun when we go together.

Hi everyone!
I just joined the Pres. Challenge.
I've been sick for the past 2 weeks and have been off core and off my exercising - not by choice! I had been doing so well at the gym too.
Anyway, I'm planning on recommitting on Monday, and I figured this would be a good place to start!
Thanks and good luck everyone!

Don't let me out. I already signed under the group Hard Core challengers. Thanks for sharing this info. I am Zori Banks from sunny Puerto Rico and I am following a weekly schedule of exercise. Due to this I participated this year in the World Best 10k in Puerto Rico (look this event at the internet, and welcome to participate at this international event). and this year I made it 10 minutes less than last year.

I did another spin class today, great fun. I'm experimenting with my heart rate monitor, and it's causing me to be really mindful of my exertion.
I'm on a tear and will at least try to get in some strength training tomorrow, if not a brief aerobic walk.
Have a great evening everyone! Keep moving and reporting to the President!

I just joined! ;D My goal will be basic - 5 days of 30 minutes of activity. I'm just getting over being sick and have not exercised much in the last week and a half.

Greetings, PreChas, and welcome to all the new members. I am pressed for time, on my way to work, but need to post my activity for the day.
I went to the gym, warmed up with 25 minutes of run/walk on the treadmill, then had my lifting session with my trainer. I reached personal bests on three lifts. It's great to chart the progress. I will feel it tomorrow, but my Yoga class will help with working out the kinks.
Keep up all the good work, everyone.

hi ya Prechaz
I'm really enjoying today. Work is smoothe, had a nice faculty meeting, had my student worker help me get my office in order and last but not least I did 30 minutes of personal training in the weight room, and nearly an hour each of both pilates and vigorous walking for a total of 508 precha points. I will not be deterred by a no-weight-loss-weigh-in!
hope everyone's having a great day!

Anybody else have their "week" changed on the PreCha website? Mine used to be Monday - Sunday, but when I finished my first 6 weeks, it went to Friday-Thursday. This is causing me grief - plus making me miss stars. For example, I had to work late Monday and Tuesday, so I planned to go swimming this weekend, but the "week" is over for me yesterday, so I only got three stars for the week. I wrote to PreCha, but I thought maybe one of you might know how to fix this, or restart my weeks. I don't really want to have to commit to going to the gym on weekends, but I'll do it if I need a make-up day due to working late and missing an exercise class. But I don't know which days I'll be working late until they happen.

Eve, I had trouble at first with the PreCha website, getting my active lifestyle award. It seemed like I had to restart a few times. Sorry I can't remember what I did to sort it out.
Today, I did my usual Saturday bike ride, plus a beginner Yoga session for weight loss. I'm feeling good. I'm past the halfway mark to my 3rd Silver award.
I'm going out of town tomorrow for 4 days and will take my portable workout stuff with me: heart rate monitor, MP3 player with guided workouts, one set dumbbells, maybe even a video or two. I hope to actually use them this time. I have a fun run in a week to get ready for. It's only 2 miles, but that's a lot of running for me.
I'll check in as I can.

Hi all Good to see all the spinners and bikers. Cycling season is here (at least in NC). I got in 50 miles this weekend, and earned over 2200 points. Plus, I feel lots stronger than I did this time last year, so I'm hoping it will be a great season. I'm stoked!
Now if I was only doing as well on the April Fool's Challenge! Maybe the extra activity will get me over my "playing with the same 5 pounds" hurdle.

I'm out of town, and determined to keep active this time. Last night, I did a solid hour on my Mom's recumbent bike, followed by a nice Yoga-inspired stretch. I'll update my ticker when I'm home.
Keep moving, Challengers.

Hello everyone, hope you had a nice weekend.
I finally got myself back to the gym and eating better after being sick for over 2 weeks.
So yesterday was back on Core 100% and I hit the gym and did 1 hour on the elliptical. I plan on heading to the gym tonight after work too. I'm actually happy to be able to exercise again!
