No big plans for today - just to stay OP! Breakfast was a scrambled egg (egg & spray oil) with FF cheese. I'll try to find some fruit to add to that - will have to be canned, because I'm out of fresh fruit at the moment.
I have my grocery list made up and need to get that done today. I'm out of cocoa and bananas for my smoothies! That qualifies as being an emergency!
This afternoon I got sidetracked and realized that it was 2pm and I hadn't eaten. We're going to a Mexican restaurant tonight and I'm planning to have a margarita and a grilled chicken salad, so I don't want to eat too much. I had 1/2 a bag of popcorn.
Need to get the bananas sliced and into the freezer for smoothies.

Well, for about the third time, I'm baaaaack! LOL! Since falling off the plan last year, I gained back weight and have tried several other plans. Don't know why I had to try other plans, when Core (the original plan) works so well for me. It's what got me to Lifetime (in 2005) and my goal weight years ago. I started Core when it was first introduced in November 2004 and was the first Core Lifetime member at my meetings. Come to think of it, I was the ONLY Core member at my meetings! LOL!
I tried other plans and was so disappointed that I had to come back to my tried-and-true "soulmate" plan - Core.
I've brushed up on my recipes, have stocked up on Core food, I have frozen bananas in the freezer for my homemade smoothies, and I'm motivated and ready to succeed, yet again!
I've noticed that this board has been pretty slow and that makes me sad. I recall when it was hustling and bustling with Core activity. I miss those days, but even without the abundance of participants here, I plan to stay the course and stick with Core as my eating plan for life.
Today I made Crock pot Salsa Chicken with Black Beans and Brown Rice (nice, short recipe name, huh?). It turned out really good. I added a few of my own ingredients, like chopped onions, pinto beans and frozen corn and it was very tasty.
Breakfast was boiled egg and ff cottage cheese with Splenda and cinnamon. Yum!
I had a small custard-size bowl of the crockpot dish because I wasn't super hungry earlier. I may just have more of that for dinner and a chocolate/PB homemade smoothie (counting points for PB) for dessert later this evening. I recall how much I loved to end each evening with one of those.
Guess I'd better update my signature - I hate to even look at it (and haven't, yet). LOL!

Sunday ....
Slept in this morning. Hey, that could be a weight-loss approach - sleep so late that you miss a meal! LOL!
Breakfast was a homemade smoothie.
Will have lunch in a bit - probably leftover chicken salsa (the crock pot dish I made yesterday).
Spending today organizing my Core info - consolidating it from two laptops and hard copies, and storing it all on a flash drive for easy access.
Haven't planned dinner yet. May just have a salad - we have boiled eggs in the fridge.
DH and I plan to run a few errands and maybe stop by Starbucks. I'll have a venti FF iced latte. mmmmm.
Weighed into day and down another 1/2 pound. Ain't Core grand?

Just came to see if anyone is posting here or not...wonder if we should start a challenge and see if anyone joins?
It was nice to see you had posted...gives me courage to start journaling and posting again.

Hi, girls!! Unfortunately Kippy's site is pretty much dead ... I remember how busy it used to be. I have lost touch with most of the girls but now I post my journal on Dotti's Weight Loss Zone (dwlz.com). It is a big forum with many threads, everyone is so nice and supportive, and the site is very well maintained. Check it out if you want! Good luck to us all as we continue our weight loss journeys for life!

Hi, geha and Cathy! It really is sad that this site is so quiet - but, I kinda like having a place to journal - even if I AM talking to myself! LOL!
I posted at Dottie's to ask if anyone was doing the original/old Core or if everyone was on Simply Filling. Sounds as if there's a mixture of both there.
I also posted just once the other day on the WW (Simply Filling) and somehow, an argument ensued between two of the members. I had hoped that things had changed on the WW forum and that it had gotten a little friendlier, but wow - lots of negativity there unfortunately.
Today was hectic at work, but here's my menu:
B - 1 boiled egg, shredded wheat with 1/2 banana and ff milk
S - Nothing
L - Leftover chicken salsa with black beans.
S - Nothing
D - Salad full of tomatoes, imitation crab, mushrooms, green olives, shredded carrots, boiled egg, and ff honey mustard dressing (ff mayo, mustard, Splenda and a little vinegar).
S - Will be popcorn ... will use my 2 tsp olive oil and pop my own in a skillet. Soooo much better than microwaved!

Maybe this board will pick up...there are at least you and I and perhaps one more on the board now. I started a challenge here that will run through end of October and in that time plan to be on program and watch the weight drop. My goal is to get new clothes when I go to the USA in February...positive goal rather than a negative one Here's to journaling in a safe place...and hoping others return to this board, too.

Hey ladies, nice to see that this place isn't a total ghost town. Hard to believe it was so long ago that everyone was addicted to this place. Has always been my favorite forum. Wonder if there's any hope of revival? I just started back on Core myself, the old plan - I have no idea what this new one - simply filling - is, I'll look it up, but I like the old plan just fine for now. I guess I'll just go back to my journal and work from there; maybe we'll see some life sneaking back in over here. It would be nice!! I miss it!

I just returned...see it is pretty much you and I here for now...had a bad week and will probably check out dottie's site, too, though journaling online is not easy with my dial-up network. Good job on your weight loss so far!
