WI last night and I lost .4 ... this is after 2 weeks cuz no WI last week and TOM is here now so I'll take it and be happy. I am paying attention to my cravings which have lessened now, and also to the fact that my "test jeans" fit very well yesterday. These are a pair that may be 10 yrs. old that I use to gauge how I'm doing...so so there to the scale! ;D

Way to go on your loss! I love that you have test jeans. Seriously considering working for WW, my leader has been encouraging me. I still have a few more pounds to go but maybe by the summer.
Have a great weekend!!

2/20/07
The last few days haven't been very good eating-wise or exercise-wise...not too much junk but too much Core and non-Core foods. And exercise went by the wayside, I started again yesterday and I am back on track with everything as of today!
Breakfast: Shredded wheat cereal w/banana Lunch: Mexican chicken soup, 1 granny smith apple Dinner: ? I am training on WW computer after work, not sure if I'll be able to work the meeting (receptionist need is based on member attendance) sooo...I have stuff at home, I'll decide later. Update: Boohoo didn't even get to train because the girl forgot I was coming...so I went home, got 2 APs and ate Core ww pasta alfredo, arugula salad and an apple w/PB. And made core apple crisp. All in all a good Core day!
I did cook this Saturday, made Core Mexican soup, pumpkin veggie soup and fall muffins. I also went food shopping Friday so I am stocked with good things to eat.

Good for you...out of routine weekend, but now back on track...I'm still working on getting back on track. BTW I painted my kitchen a color called paprika. Beautiful dark rusty red. I love it. All my appliances are white also my countertop. Cupboards are dark oak. It's a very soothing color. Have a great day Katie

2/22/07
Today is DBF's mother's 79th birthday. She has been on hospice for over 2 years now, breast cancer that metatasized to her liver and brain...they said she would be gone in 3 months well it's been much much longer...but she has no quality of life. Then again...she is at home, being taken care of by a hired caretaker plus DBF and his brother, she's has to be fed but she eats and drinks, and is in no pain...ever so slowly fading by centimeters but still recognizes her children...so I guess quality of life can be defined many ways. This has been so hard on us emotionally but we struggle through.
Breakfast: Fiber One with banana. Note: I bought this cereal at the suggestion of Hungry Girl and was going to use it as a topping for chicken, jalapeno poppers, etc. but was mad to discover it has aspartame in it! Down on the list of ingredients but it made me crabby, I don't do NutraSweet and I won't buy it again. Lunch: Pumpkin veggie soup with ww couscous added, 1 apple Dinner: Going out on the company with some coworkers tonight...to a great local Italian place, I will have salad and some fish dish and hope for the best! ;D I had appetizers, salad, monk fish, dessert, coffee and wine! It was all sooo good, I wasn't full or stuffed at all but but but...today is a new day! ;D And the company was fun and I had a good time. Oh yeah - it's not always about the food!
APs: 0 8 GHG: Most of them...

Difficult stuff, illness and quality of life issues. I suppose there's something to be said about lucidity, though. My grandmother is 95, Alzheimers, doesn't know who anyone is anymore, but, physically is quite healthy. She could go on for years. I have to trust that she finds her moments of joy and pleasure. Strength to you and yours. Hope you had something good and good for you for dinner! Karen

Sounds like a lot of emotional stuff happening right now... hang in there.
You are such a positive person, I can only imagine how much i would love coming to a meeting and seeing your smiling, non-judgmental face! The receptionists are a little crabby around here!
I really like Hungry Girl's site but she IS obsessed with Fiber One! I just bought some too and mainly thought it was too sweet but didn't check the label to see why! DOH! I did however try the fiber one granola bars and HOLY MINOLE they are great! I Do like my chocolate and caramel sweet!!
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the kind words....sometimes life does stink! I am usually positive but experiencing my DBF's pain and sorrow and grief in the midst of life, I get worried what will happen to him when his mother finally dies...he is hanging in there so well, it's true, in the midst of sadness there is learning and positive growth. It's so strange sometimes. 2/23/07Breakfast: Smoothie w/soy milk, ff plain yogurt, cocoa, PB, frozen fruit and banana. Lunch: Broccoli/shrimp chowder, 1 apple Dinner: I have some lean beef defrosted, also chicken breasts...why don't I plan out dinners as well as I do breakfast & lunch? APs: 5 today - Firm 53 min. tape when I get home. 8GHG: Water-yes, APs-will do, fruit/veg will be done, dairy done, avoid sugar-yes, alcohol-none today!, vitamins-yes as always... I don't remember the other 2 this early in the a.m.! Whoo boy.

In my recent gerontology class, we spent so much time on quality of life issues. We saw a documentary about a women with Alzheimer's which was made by her own daughter. The struggle she had to lose the mother she knows versus observing that the woman her mother is becoming is still very happy. Yes, hard stuff. How is your DBF dealing with it?
Sounds like a lovely dinner for you and glad to hear that you're enjoying it and not worrying about it. Right? Right? ;D Wishing you a beautiful day in all kinds of ways.
