Well, the Jewish holidays are over as is the massive food frenzy. I didn't do too bad, actually. Today is the first official day of fall - I'm excited to put the shorts and tank tops away and get into some cozier clothes. It was cold here this morning - 48 degrees! It's probably warmed up a bit, I'm sure it will end up close to 70 today.
My DH made yummy Core/South Beach pancakes this morning and added in a T. of pumpkin - man were they awesome! With a steaming cup of coffee it was a perfect way to start the morning. My DS went to Sunday school and I'm off to spin class.
There's a lot going on the next few weeks - a quick trip to NJ the first week of October, my WW leader training the 2nd weekend of October and we leave for Disney on Oct. 19.
I am exactly at goal, which is great, but I'm feeling like I'd like to push myself to lose 5 pounds. My goal is the very highest number in my range so it would be nice to be a bit under.
Here's to a great week!

Beth-
I'm eager to follow your lead on maintenance - I hit goal a couple years ago and then strayed away. Now, I'm working my way back to goal again. I really have no problem in losing - it's maintaining that I haven't mastered! ugh! I will keep reading your journal to glean tips! Thanks!

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I feel good about how this week has gone, although you never know with TOM. Tonight I'm going to try making that Spaghetti Pizza from the WW website the other day. At this point I'm taking things one day at a time because the weekends are so busy it's like the weekdays are the times to sit and chill for a few minutes!
Updated report on DH - so far has lost over 50 lbs on South Beach and has had his blood pressure meds lowered. His Dr. thinks by the end of the year he should be off of them completely. We're all so happy - he is just 35 yrs. old - too young to be on meds. South Beach is actually very similar to Core. I've adapted most of the recipes by just dropping the amount of oil, otherwise the ingredients are mostly Core.
Off to have another cup of coffee...

Beth- Woo hoo for your DH! That's awesome that his meds may not be necessary at all thanks to his weight loss. Bet he feels so much better.
Can't wait to hear how the Spaghetti Pizza turns out - is it totally Core? I'll have to look it up on the WW site. Thanks for the tip!

Wow good for your DH yeah!! Great news about the meds. I just got the news my SIL is on HBP meds now, she went to the dr. for bronchitis and found out that way. She is very overweight and has been for years... I wanna say something but it's hard...she's gotta lose it for herself.
Yeah how did the Spaghetti Pizza turn out? because I am going to make it tonight! Last night we had flounder stuffed with crabmeat stuffing, it was from ShopRite...so the stuffing was not Core but it was soo good. I made homemade mashed potatoes and the steamed broccoli...it could have been worse lol, we enjoyed it.

I am feeling stressed and under the gun - we've got a lot going on these few weeks. There is a light at the end of the tunnel - we leave for Disney on Oct. 19! And we just came back from this weekend with a baby naming and 2 funerals, and I leave for my leadership training on Thursday so I've got some stuff to do to get ready for that. I got lots of comments on how good I looked, although I'm the same weight when I saw everyone in NJ last time. I got my haircut on Friday I think that's what did it. I sampled a little dessert at each of these functions - now that's over! No more brownies! I also could really use a good workout but that's not in the cards this week I don't think although I will shoot for tomorrow afternoon while DS is in school. And next week after I get back from the training on Sunday I will need to deal with Disney - packing and reworking some reservations. It will be a great trip - first time for DS - he turns 6 in January.
The leaves are starting to fall! It was 90 degrees here yesterday though so I don't know when this hot weather will turn.

I'm glad you had a good time in NJ! You do have a lot of fun stuff going on in the next 2 weeks, try to enjoy the real fun stuff! ;D
Thanks for your thoughts, I will try to log on Saturday to update my ticker ... and let you know how the surgery went.

HI! I'm back. Thanks for thinking about me ... it all went well. I didn't like it, but I did good and will find out any "results" 10/26. I might have a slight infection though so I'm going to the dr. today. Other than that... I survived!

The one thing I've always said about WW is that it's very easy to jump back on the bandwagon. That being said, I'm having a difficult time getting back into it! The entire month of October was spent traveling for me. I haven't exercised in well over two weeks (except for walking around Disneyworld for 6 days). We did go to the grocery store yesterday so I am stocked up. I just need to get there in my head. My intention was/is to spin today, but I went to sleep last night with a sore throat and beginnings of a cold and woke up with the same. Since I haven't done a spin class in several weeks it's going to be a tough class! I hope that the coffee and actually putting on my workout clothes will help.
I start my 4 weeks of WW leader mentoring this week on Thursday. Otherwise Halloween will be a busy day and Friday night I'm throwing a little surprise party for DH's birthday. At least we are here for a few weeks - we aren't traveling again until Nov. 19 for Thanksgiving.
I can't believe the holidays are right around the corner! We've already started putting some Chanukah gifts away for DS. UNBELIEVABLE!

Hi, Beth! How was Disney?!
My test results came back OK thank God - I am starting perimenopause (hurray!) and that thing is probably a fibroid. I have to track my symptoms for a while on a calendar and then can decide what if anything, to do about it. Whew.
The holidays??!! I need to get through Halloween yet which is one of my favorite holidays. Then Thanksgiving is early this year... I like that because there's more time before Christmas. When is Hanukkah this year?

Hi Beth,
I hear you about getting back in the groove after a vacation or other type of break from exercise and healthy eating. I've been struggling with that for the past month or more! I really think the time change will help me, as I am a "morning person" and if I can get to the gym early, I'll feel much better all day. You are doing so great and it sounds like you had a fun vacation without any lasting weigh-in damage!

It's been busy, busy! I finally made it to the Dr. yesterday who gave me some suggestions to try and clear my nose and head. I was having a head rush every time I bent down. I do feel a bit better and feel like things are starting to drain (gross - I know). Yesterday was DH's actual birthday and we went to a nice dinner with his family. Tonight is date night - we're going to see Jersey Boyz and have a nice dinner out.
The WW stuff has been really busy, but if all goes well I will officially be a leader by the end of the week! I hope to sub for the next few weeks and take on sometihng permanent in January. I also just accepted a 2nd. recept. position for Thursday nights but this time of year I think it will be touch and go as to whether I'm needed but come January I'm sure I'll be working that shift each week.
