Aww! You guys are all so sweet! It was nice to long on to a little lovin'!
I've had such a horrible week, I can't even begin to explain. Given the circumstances of having to write a publishable paper from the ground up, in the time span of 2 weeks, I should be happy that I haven't used all my WPA in alcohol this week (tonight) .
I made it fairly well on plan today, with a couple of WPA requirements. I had a slice of pizza at lunch, but I had it AFTER I ate a salad and fruit, and still wanted it. And I only had one. And then because of the paper thing, my research group (the crazy broads) decided to make a long night of writing - AGAIN - tonight. We did the same last night. Now, 10:30 doesn't seem late to be up - but I get up at 5:30am, and go nonstop ALL day. So usually by 9 I'm ready for bed, even without so much brain intensive stuff.
Anyway, enough venting. So because we made a night of studying I couldn't make dinner. But guided them to Ruby Tuesday so I could have soup and salad - a wiser choice than their first, which was Olive Garden where I couldn't resist breadsticks under any circumstances, and their second choice: Denny's. ugh. So I got salad bar, and french onion soup, and water. I only had 1T of potato salad, and everything else from the bar was core - so that was good! And then I ate the cheese and croutons on the soup because they didn't give it to me plain like I asked for. Ugh. Not so good. But overall, wayyyy better than it could have been.
Oh, and plus I worked out. So that's good. I'll log this stuff tomorrow.
I've talked enough. I need sleep. I get even more rambly than usual when I'm overtired ...

I haven't been able to post, but I've been doing super duper well! Since my last post, I've been very careful with WPA, so that I haven't gone over my earned APs on any given day. This is in anticipation of dinner at a friends' house tonight. They're cooking, so i'm at their mercy as far as points go . I've got 25 points stocked up though, plus the APs I'll earn today.
DF and I decided that we're goingt o walk to Starbucks every Saturday instead of drive. It's roughly three miles, so a decent adventure by foot. On Sundays we're going to walk down to the waterfront - there's a big river flowing through town, and at the waterfront it's fun to feed the seagulls. That is about 2 miles away. In addition we're keeping up our regular workouts. He has fast become an inspiration for me. It really helps when he's focusing on health as well, because then there isn't beer and pizza in the house all the time!
I'm going to post my journals for the last two days in this one, since I couldn't get online yesterday. Sunday, April 2 Daily ReflectionsIt has been such a beautiful weekend here! Bright sunshine and cool breezes, the weather could not have been more perfect! We went for a nice long walk yesterday, and today I opened all the windows and hung our down comforter over the balcony to get springtime fresh. I used a lot of WPA last night, but not all of them - and I'm NOT going to beat myself up about it! I enjoyed most of them on nutritious food, anyway.
I have determined, though, that I need to get more water in. I've had an awful cold so one would think that I've been doing this anyway, but I haven't. So more water it is! That's my goal for the coming week. Hugs to you and hope your cold blows through and you heal quickly. Do you drink herbal tea and include it in your water intake? I love tea when I have a cold.
Your Saturday walks sound lovely. And Starbucks as a reward--nice! I always enjoy reading your journal entries.

Daily ReflectionsWell Hello, ladies!! So nice of you to have dropped by. Had I known you were coming I would have brewed some coffee. Tea, for you, nightsinge!
I AM doing great - the warm weather is doing wonders for: 1) My disposition 2) My general outlook on life 3) My house - the open windows have made it so fresh smelling, and bright! 4) My activity level. I just want to get out out out, and go go go! 5) DF's disposition, outlook and activity level, which is serving to perpetuate my own.
The only downside is that I'm very tired from all of the extra activity! But there's even an upside to that. Like you, WF, I have had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. I've been finding myself waking up 3-4 times per night, starting at around 12:30. As a result I haven't had more than 2-3 consecutive hours of sleep in a few weeks. It has really been weighing on me. Last night, for the first time in a long time I was able to sleep the full night through! When I woke up and expected to see 12:27 on the clock, I actually saw 4:30!! 6 uninturrupted hours! I can only attribute it to the increased activity and fresh air. Let's hope it keeps up!
Anyhow, this entry is long enough. I'm feeling better in terms of my cold, just a mild persistant cough. I did drink herbal teas in the beginning of this cold, when I was really feeling cruddy. But lately I've been sticking to flushing with plain water. I've been too busy to make and drink hot tea, actually! Breakfast Coffee w/ soy milk Shredded Wheat Soy MilkLunchYogurt2HB EggsMed. Good for you on getting out in the fresh air! I woke up about 6 times last night (seems like it anyway)...just to pee. One of the side-effects of sticking to the plan and drinking all of that water! Hang in there girl!
