I agree that it is exactly like a conveyer belt. On an on/off switch. I have cycled into more moderate extremes over the years which I suppose helps keep the weight swing down to 10-15lbs and not 20-25. But there are still swings and my ultimate goal is (always) to maintain within a five ish lb range.
I was successful with staying with my goals for dinner tonight. I did workout today. One meal at a time. One day at a time. One week at a time.

This is a plan by Bob Greene of Oprah's fame. It eventually turns core with the idea of trying to change your habits slowly and patiently. I am going to give it a try this week. Should I come back an join the challenge since this isn't really core?
