Hi Cathy,
Thanks for being willing to jump into a challenge (support system) with me. I just rejoined WW online and am tracking points online. I will focus mostly on core foods but am not going to be strictly core. I will count points to keep myself honest. I am aiming for %5 of my weight to start with which would move me to 174 lbs. I am currently 183 lbs.
I know a few things. The first week will go great and I will easily dump 5 lbs. I also know that it will be around week 3 or 4 that I will start struggling with commitment.
So my goal is to post here every day and be honest with you about where I am at - especially emotionally with my eating. My goal is to support you. My goal is to lose that 5% in the next two or three months. It seems reasonable but of course it has been reasonable for two years and I have yet to actually do it.
Thanks for jumping in with me. It is good to reconnect. - Cynthia

Hey - OK - I'm in too - I want to lose 5 lbs. by May 16 - I have an Elks event to go to. It gives me something to shoot for ... I am really struggling. The new Momentum plan is really great though - I feel the best of both Flex and Core worlds. Not much of a change for us Core people but if you read the info from the beginning, I feel this time WW is doing it right. They are starting people out tracking, watching portions and emphasizing the more filling foods (hello - Core) and then as the weeks go on they suggest you can stop counting points now that you recognize portion size and see that the better quality foods do fill you up. Also exercise is now a healthy guideline rather than "if you can". They stress it as necessary to lose and maintain a healthy weight. I promise to post every day too! I have Beth's e-mail - will give her a shout to see how she is and ask if she wants to join us.

Hi ladies-
Cathy - thanks for getting in touch. It's nice to reconnect with you guys. I have been 8-10 pounds over goal for the last year or so. I usually weigh in at about 133.4 when I go once a month - my original goal was 124. I feel heavy and I don't like it. My motivation is up one week and down the next. I am really struggling as well. I would be so thrilled to at least get back to 130. I need to make exercise a priority. I have also been struggling with a cold for the last 6 weeks or so (started with strep mid-January) so that makes a nice excuse to not exercise.
Anyway - sorry to be a downer but that's kind of where I'm at right now. I am trying to eat only Filling Foods (Core) this week to see if that makes a difference, and also limit portions.
I've missed you!
-Beth

Ok. I am getting excited now. Isn't the internet amazing.
Goals are:
Cynthia: lose 5% (9 lbs) by May 30th before I got back to St. 38. Cathy: lose 5lbs. by May 16th in time for the Elks event. Beth: lose 8-10 lbs? and make exercise a priority
I am very glad you are able to join us Beth. It is always good to have a bigger cheering section. It is nice to all be back together in these goals

Thanks for adding me into your title! Okay, I must go exercise. Going to either do the Biggest Loser workout or try the Firm. Don't have to pick up from school today until 4:30. Have my cousin coming over for a quick cup of coffee and then off I go. Really. I posted it on Facebook and everything.
Food so far today has been good. Have you guys ever read Clean Eating magazine? It's great, and has some really great recipes. For lunch today I had a leftover zuchini lasagna I made from that magazine, made with no noodles (zuchini is the noodles) and FF cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce and I made it with soy crumbles instead of ground meat. It is super yummy. Making turkey chili for dinner.
Thanks for being here!

Ok, Cathy and I found each other on facebook. What is your full name Beth? You can put it in my inbox if you don't want it published. I have have had a good day so far. Worked out for 50 minutes (elyptical and even ran for 5 minutes on the treadmill!). Food is fine but I am getting hungry so I am going to go have a protein shake so I don't eat the damn girl scout cookies sitting in the comm room table. I can just see myself grabbing a handful but it occurs to me that there is always sugar on the counter at work. Now it's girl scouts, then easter, then someones birthday, then halloween, etc. So for today I will not eat girl scout cookies unless I have extra points at the end of the day. How did your workout go Beth? I will check out Clean Eating Magazine and see what good recipes there are.

Took me all day but I finally - at 3:00 - did The Firm Cardio Sculpt. It was fast-moving, definitely got my heart rate up. Tomorrow I'm going to spin! I'm debating on going to the doctor - I've had a cold on and off for 5-6 weeks and it is dragging me down.
I will find you guys on Facebook!
Have a great night - stay away from the cookies Cynthia!!!

Hi, girls!I love the Firm! I did Cardio Sculpt Blaster last night. Cyn - I love the STOP sign LOL I should print that out, I have many places at work and home where it would be good for me to read that sign! FB is fun but you have to remember to go on there and chat every once in a while...it gets difficult remembering to say Hi to everyone in all these different places LOL. I hope you feel better, Beth. It's hard enough to exercise when we're feeling good, good for you for getting it in but get well. I hope spinning is OK. At WW at Work I lost .8 yesterday... that scale says 155 now and I know that's the scale that counts.... but I've gotten used to WI on Sun. a.m. on my WW scale, so that's the number below... I think I've gained a lb. or so since starting the AW program Gotta get my act together.

Hi there!
Spinning today was rough - not feeling 100%. Am still debating on the doctor, although I know this is just a cold - it's just been so damn long that I've had it. I bought some Mucinex today and will give it until Friday to see if it helps, then maybe I'll go on Friday.
Things so far this week are going pretty well. We'll see how weigh in goes on Friday.
Cathy - great job on losing .8! I'm going to check out that link.
Hope you guys have a great day.
-Beth

Hey facebook friends! Today was a little more of a splurge then yesterday but I am still on points so that is okay. I turned down several snack today which was a good move since that definitely would have put me over the top. Got a mani/pedi which I haven't done in over two years. Jungle red is always a good color to celebrate all that is us and female.
Good job on the .8 Cathy. Maintaining is good. Losing is every better.
Beth: Err on the side of seeing the doctor earlier especially if the congestion is deep in your lungs. Could be bronchitis or walking pneumonia...especially if you are not feeling energetic.
As long as I am giving advice: Cynthia go to yoga tomorrow and good job on not eating the girl scout cookies last night.
Have a good evening all!

Hey all-
I think I am going to try and get to the doctor today - I feel like crap this morning. That may be partly due to taking Nyquil last night, but I'm just tired of feeling like this. My glands are swollen on one side also. I'm hoping I can get in first thing this morning because I have to work at 10:30 - and obviously if I've got nothing contagious I'll still go.
Cynthia - great job yesterday - I'm glad you did something to treat yourself that was not food related!
Will check in later... have a great day!
-Beth

Let us know how things go with the doctor. I am glad you are taking care of yourself.
Thinking about bailing on yoga. Just want to stay home. Maybe I will take a brisk walk instead.

Beth - Good decision on the dr. - let us know how it goes, good luck. Cynthia - get to yoga! OK a walk is good too if it's nice enough out - go girl! The weather is not nice enough out here yet - but should be 60 by Sat. and 70 by Sun.! I cannot wait for spring. I have a teeny headache - sometimes rising/falling temps (barometric pressure?) does that to me - that's OK weather, get hotter, go right ahead! No real plans for today except work, exercise afterwards, make dinner ...
