Yippee Geha and Sandy for your committment to getting healthy. You both are and encouragement to me. I've been having a good weekend. Counting wpa, eating core and saying no when confronted with contraband. It seems that if I make through the weekend gracefully, the rest of the week follows. I did get my sewing project finished and cut out another today. I'm really enjoying the process of making my clothes again. So many fewer alterations now than before. Have a fantastic week Katie

The sun is shining and the day lies before me. I ate CORE yesterday except for almonds and a tsp of honey in my breakfast of muesli BUT in the evening started sipping wine...and sips became glasses. I am wondering if I need to just cut that item out of my menu for awhile...
I did not even get outside yesterday since I was busy proofreading two chapters of my daughter's doctoral dissertation...read 150 pages about nuns living in the medeival time period and now know more than I need to...for sure! It was interesting, though. OH! One nun was praised for her virtuous eating of poor quality food (greens) even when a dead mouse/rat was served in her bowl. Maybe THAT is what we need to do to curb our appetites?
Have a good week! Cathy in Fih, Lebanon

Wow Sandy - good for you! Ten pounds is a lot during this short period of time.
I was very friendly with some Cool Ranch Doritos yesterday! I am writing from NJ. My Dad had my stepmother's family over yesterday and for whatever reason they always put out a big afternoon spread of snacks when everyone arrives. I tried to be good and did cut up and eat a whole cucumber in salsa but unfortunately dipped quite a bit into those Doritos and pretzels as well. I have to say they were pretty tasty, it had been a long time since I had them! I counted all of my extra points yesterday and today is a new day. I hope to get a walk in this morning and I plan to start with fruit and yogurt for breakfast.
Hope everyone has a great week!
-Beth

Great News! I weighed this morning (fourth morning on CORE again and one week from my 180 in PJ's wake-up call when I stepped on the scale) and saw...174 without my nightgown or 175 with it on...hooray! My goal is to get to 145 or lower and realize it will take time so am looking forward to the NEXT challenge (and perhaps a few more?) to get me there.
Thanks for being here!

Katie,
Glad to be of service...I was outside most of today...first helping hubby plant one of the vegetable gardens then collecting orange flower from branches he was trimming. He is cooking tonight and I have two choices...one sounds more Core friendly than the other. Both used ful/fava beans from the garden but one has fried onions and the other either has onions, olive oil and lemon or perhaps it has garlic instead of the onions...all should be eaten with BREAD but...may have these alone and have some leftovers that are Core alongside.
Here's to all of us achieving what we want to in life!

WTG, Cathy & Sandy! Guess what? I hit GOAL tonight!!! Still can't believe it. I've been at this for over 3 1/2 years. Thanks to all of you here at Kippy's - I couldn't have done it without your support & encouragement. The BEST part is that I get 63 WPA this week! I'm dreaming of real cheese...... Have a great week, everyone!

Kathy -
Congratulations! I don't know what I would do with those extra points but do agree that cheese sounds pretty good right now! I just looked at your stats and majorly impressed! Did you lose it all on Core?

I'm down 3.4!! I've had a rough week, not with Core but just in general,...family visit, illness, injury, and extra work. Still, no sugar, and NO CRAVINGS whatsoever for that evil stuff. This last bit of the challenge I'm going to focus on water, excercise, and sleep. HiHo!
