It's November 1st - the holidays are officially around the corner! I know for me and others celebrating Chanukah they are early this year - the first night is December 4 or 5. And Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away!!
So come join the challenge! Post your goals here!
My one and only goal is simple - I just want to maintain.
The next few months are really, really busy and we are traveling a lot. I would like to just stay the course, WI regularly and exercise as much as I can but not be too hard on myself if I can't.
An NSV for me from last night - I think in general - is that I am dealing with pizza much, much better than I used to (it only took me two years!). Last night after trick-or-treating my cousin had everyone back at her house for pizza. I had one piece (it's Chicago deep-dish), ate it slowly along with several helpings of salad on the side, and really enjoyed it. And I had none of the awesome looking cake! I was pretty proud of myself.
I'll see what my after-Disney WI is tomorrow! Hopefully not too bad, although I may need to get in gear over the next week to get closer to my goal number. Hopefully I'm not over that two pound mark but I don't think I am. We'll see tomorrow.

Hurray!!! If I ever needed a challenge... it's now.
My goal - to lose 5 pounds. OK here I go - watch me now.
I lost .4 at WI last night and I'll take it. I need to see the scale go down and see some NSVs - last night's topic was seeing, feeling and hearing yourself change and not depending on that number on the scale. I will try to look for other changes as I make my way back down again to maintenance mode
Great NSV on avoiding the cakes, Beth! Skinny vibes to you for WI.

I'm in! If the challenge is through the end of the year, my goal is to lose 8 lbs. I would like for it to be more, but I'll be happy with 8.

So my post Disney WI I was down .5 - WOW! I was surprised. But I don't think I lost weight in Disney, I tihnk I lost weight since we got back because I've had a cold all week and haven't been eating all that much. Anyway - so I'm right exactly at goal. Hooray for me!
I'm giving my DH a little surprise party tonight for his birthday so I've got to get back to cleaning the house. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm in! I know, I say that at the beginning of each challenge, and then I don't have time to post. It is a proven fact that I do better if I post here, and it is also true that when I am not posting, it is because I'm too busy to take care of myself. I just gotta keep trying.
This morning, I was 7.5 pounds over goal weight. So my goal for this challenge is to get back to goal. I've had a nice Core day, including two walks with my dog.
Beth, good job on NOT gaining weight while you were on vacation! Very impressive; you are my Core hero this week!

I was up 1 lb. at WI on Monday. That's not a good way to start the challenge, but it was less than what I thought I had gained! So now......onward and downward. skinny vibes girlie...skinny vibes

Hi ladies - I've missed you! My internet/phones/cable have been out since Monday so I haven't been able to check in. I've been having a good few days though! Finally I am feeling better since Sunday night - it took me a full 7 days to feel back among the living! I worked out yesterday for the first time in over a week and I was so glad to get to the gym. Also - I cooked Monday night, Tuesday night and tonight! And I went to the grocery store to get veal chops for dinner tonight and stocked up on some meat for the freezer.
My DH's surprise party was terrific. Now his actual birthday is Friday and we're going out for nice dinners on Friday night and Saturday night and seeing Jersey Boys downtown on Saturday. Should be a nice weekend.
Tammy - congrats on your 10% - that's AWESOME!!

Hi, everyone! Beth - I'm glad you are feeling better and your internet connection too! Glad DH was surprised. I heard Jersey Boys is terrific, have fun. Jane - HIHO! And thanks for the vibes, they worked! Sending some your way for this week. I lost 1.4 at WI last night. I know it is because I cooked to have good lunches on hand. Dinners also are planned and mostly Core. Now I need to start getting more APs in. Have a good day!

Hi everyone,
I had kind of a bad week, food-wise. I keep binge eating! I know that I just have to be mentally prepared to completely stay away from chocolate, cookies, chips, and crackers. Once I get started I have a very hard time stopping.
Yesterday, I brought all kinds of fruit to school -- bananas, clementines, apples. I also brought a container of ff yogurt, some oatmeal, and a package of frozen cherries. I also have popcorn. So -- no more excuses. If I'm hungry, there will be something Core to eat at work.
I'll weigh in tomorrow -- I forgot this morning and have already eaten breakfast.
Today's planned food:
Breakfast -- 1 slice ww toast, 2 eggs, orange
Lunch -- curried chicken with ww couscous
Dinner -- some kind of grilled meat, hopefully salmon, with baked potato and salad
snacks -- popcorn, fruit, ff latte
