Tonight I made lifetime, I am very humbled by this. I have never before reached goal let alone lifetime. I'm feeling a little emotional, is this normal? I posted this on my weigh in board, but wanted to share my accomplishment with everyone. You all have been such a support and inspiration to me. I know that being able to come to this board and share my thoughts and feelings and to read all of your thoughts and feelings has helped me reach my goal. THANK YOU all of you. I have rarely posted on the WW board because I just don't feel at home there but you all have become part of my family.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
It is a great accomplishment, and I have seen many a member cry when presented with lifetime at their meetings, especially people who have lost more than 20 lbs. I certainly was very emotional when I got (back) to goal both after losing my weight from May 2002-July 2003 and more recently after struggling for over a year to get my post-pregnancy weight off.
Now just keep doing what has worked for you.

Just remember that reaching Lifetime is not an end. It's another milestone on your weight control journey. Just keep on doing what you've been doing.

kate, I am so thrilled for you! I'm glad you shared this and I am grateful to pookie for making it public on the general board or I might never have seen it and been able to congratulate you properly -- hiding your katelight under a barrel are you?

Thanks you guys, this is exactly the kind of friendship I have come to rely on so much. Rita, I'm not going to change my ticker because I still have those 6 lbs to reach my personal goal, eventhough I have reached my Dr.'s goal and now lifetime. Tonight was especially meaningful because our daughter was there to cheer for me and to see that she can do it too. Sarpon, how funny...hiding my katelight under a barrel... you always crack me up:)
Ema, you are one of the best cheerleaders, and have given me alot to think about during this journey. Thanks again to all of you

Congrats Kate!!! That is so wonderful!!!
Re: doctors note. Did you find that your dr. was ok with setting a weight higher than the WW goal? Did he think WW had their goals too high? I'm just curious. I am going to do my best to get to the goal WW has set for me, which is lower than what I have on my ticker. FIRST, I have to get to the goal I picked, then downward to the REAL one....thanks for reading....
Again.....congrats...way to go!!! ;D

Jane, my Dr. was not really thrilled to write me a script for a different weight than WW guidelines. I go to a woman Dr. who has lost 140lbs on WW. So she really wanted me to get to WW weight. However she also realized that my goal of 175 was soooo much better than not losing any at all that she did write the script but really encouraged me to continue losing to the 155that WW recommends. My personal goal is 165 which I feel is a great compromise between the two. I personally believe that WW guidelines is too narrow. I am only 5'6" but I have very heavy bones, I know that is the oldest excuse, but I have size 11 feet and a 8.5 ring. Big bones. I now wear 12's and mediums at 175 lbs. I did wear tight 22's. So I am happy with where I am at. My next goal is to firm up as much as possible and to continue losing to the 165 mark. Thanks for the question, I hope my answer helps. Thank you to all of you for your well wishes. You keep me motivated.
