I has a great work out this morning. My favorite WO CD is To Wong Foo thanks for everything Julie Neimar. It is so awesome.
I am amazed at how quickly I am seeing improvements in my cardio-health. When i first worked out my HR increased Immediately and I had to be careful to not go above the max rate even at very low RPMs on the elliptical. I am able to work much harder now without exceding the max, and at a higher RPM and can exercise for longer. Today was my first 30 minute cardio work out! I can also see a tiny bit of muscle tone peeking through in my calves (it always shows up here first) when I am on the eliptical. Today's work out gave me a real motivation boost.

I have discovered that my motivation boosts for exercise are very short. I had to really struggle and make myself go workout today.I did it and did a 25 minute cardio work out but it had not of the zest of yesterday. I am the same way at times about program. Sometimes I am just GREAT with it. It feels easy and good then there come the times when it is all about the cravings, and rebellion. Maybe I shouldn't look for that zest, maybe I should just do it.

Goodness it is HOT here. The temp read 97 today at 4:30 but I bet it hit a hundred. I dread July and August!
Well I had no idea what to expect on the scale today and I lost .4 I'll take it. I was not horrible this week but I did abuse the Skinny Cow Ice cream sandwiches a bit.
I am thinking I will broil some shrimp and artichokes tonight for dinner.

My stress levels are driving me nuts/
My DP is back in Vancouver (he is Canadian). He has my truck with a camper on it and 2 of our dogs with him. He has found that finding a place that allows dogs is hard and was living in the camper. Well he decided that he should bring he dogs back to me but was denied re-entry tot he states but when he tried to return to Canada he was stopped there too. Apparently you are not supposed to have a US vehicle in Canada, and as a Canadian not allowed to drive one there. ( We didn't know and would never have even thought that to look into it).
Well he talked them into allowing it as long as he parked it and wouldn't drive it. A friend has let him park it infront of her house. So he and the dogs are sleeping in the camper and she is allowing him to use her bethroom etc. He needs to find a place to live where the dogs can be and that has a place he can park and leave the truck, but money for that is tough since he doesn't have a job. He can use public transit but can't be gone from the dogs for 8 hours at a time, because the dogs don't have a plce to stya othre than in the truck. The friend is not really wanting him there because she is an Ex and her husband is very jealous. SOOOOO if I am able to I will be turning in one of my retirement funds so he can afford to find a place but then he absolutely needs a job because it is NOT a big fund and the money won't last long. Transferring the truck to him and Canadianizing it is a pricy issue that we will complete once things are settled.
I need him settled and safe and working in Vancouver and I think I will be a major stress kitty until that happens.
I am not handling this stress too well. I tend to stress eat, a good night's sleep is just a fond memory, as is my ability to concentrate for longer than 30 seconds.

Just Doing IT
Ok I am done whining (for now) and am getting back on the band wagon!
I have both crock pots going, one with a whole chicken (see rotisserie chicken in a Crockpot recipe) and one with a Veggie soup.
I have fresh fruits and veggies on hand, FF cheese and low cal Whole wheat pitas and bread, WW pasta, smoothie fixins and lunch fixins.
I have a good idea for each meal this week and am ready! Now I just have to do it and keep on doing it

Cyd, I'm so sorry that you are experiencing so much stress right now. Stress in itself is bad enough, but lack of sleep seems to magnify everything especially in the middle of the night. Does getting exercise help? Your plan for meals sounds great and good for you for acting on it and preparing ahead some great meals. I hope things work themselves out soon for you. Take care Katie

Ok this will sound weird but I guess I had never really tasted tasted Ricotta cheese,
I have had it in Lasagna, and in other dishes and never really liked it but I just tasted it with a tiny bit of splenda and I LIKE IT. Still am not wild about hte texture but it has a mild and delightful flavor.
Any hints on how to change the texture from grainy?

Yeah I could never get past the texture. It's ok in something, but I don't go out of my way to have any. Hope the stress levels have gotten better for you. Have a great weekend Katie

Well I was up .4 I keep bouncing up and down by little bits, If I were in maintenance that would be great because I am essentially staying the same, but I am not in maintenance yet.
I need to get better about keeping track of my WPA. Today and tomorrow I am at a conference where they provide the food, I will try to stay with healthy choices.
