Aw gee, didn't mean to make you cry. As long as they were happy tears, that's ok.
Say, when you eat your cereal/fruit in the mornings, do you get hungry soon afterward? Seems like that just doesn't feel me up. I love cereals, but they sure don't stick with me long enough!

Sometimes, I have been trying to have a snack, carrots, grapes, or something like that about 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning. I was not a breakfast eater. coffee was all I would have so my body was pretty shocked that I started feeding it cereal and fruit. I have noticed lately that some mornings I will get really lightheaded if I stand up too fast after bending over I asume my blood sugar drops and that I really should be having some protien for breakfast. I just haven't figured out yet what I could have. Eggs aren't really an everyday option. Have any suggestions? Breakfast: usual lunch: left over potatoes, "fried" with onion mushrooms. 2 over easy eggs. pineapple and FF yogurt with splenda and vanilla stirred in Supper: chicken spinach salad from Subway with FF ranch dressing Snacks: Microwave popcorn, FFSF hotchocolate with instant coffee and sf caramel syrup. 2 french twists.(2pts)

Paula, do you have a journal here? I would love to visit. I appreciate everything you write on mine. It really helps to know that someone is checking up on me. Helps keep me accountable.

Hey!
I got Almond Joy Pudding off of the Weight Watchers site. It's delicious!!
2 cups cold milk 1 package of chocolate sf/ff pudding 1 cup oatmeal 2 tsp of coconut extract
Mix, refridgerate, and eat!
(The oatmeal really does give the consistency of coconut.)

Gosh, you guys, how do you do it? The sugar free stuff like the puddings and syrups and dressings--I have a terrible sweet tooth, and even the sugar free things that are artificially sweetened send my on a binge. I just have to stay away from all of it! I do much better if I just stick to proteins, veggies and a few fruits. I do have oats, as it keeps me regular--I get into trouble without it. But even too much fruit will start my cravings. We live next to a big fruit farm and my kids work there on weekends; gosh their cider is just out of this world. But I can only have a sip now and then--if had a glass of that stuff I'd just sit right down with the gallon jug!
No Kate, I don't have a journal here. I went to WW several years ago before they had Core. Got to goal, then stopped going--BIG mistake. I've gained back half of it. Which is what brings me here now. I can't afford to go to meetings now, so I read all the journals here and follow you guys. You have a wonderful bunch of people here!

Kate,
I just saw your protein question above. Eggs are not an everyday option, eh? I love them. I do so much better if I eat protein for breakfast; many times I eat eggs for breakfast, and then have cereal/fruit/milk for lunch. What about FF yogurt? Could you have that along with your cereal? Or FF cottage cheese? Some folks have a shake made with whey powder, which is supposed to be excellent protein. I've never tried the shakes, but I've heard rave reviews about them. I've seen them at our grocery in the organic and diet sections. They also have protein bars you can buy, but they're pricey, plus I'm sure you'd have to count the points for them. The shakes could be free--depending on what you mix in with the whey.

Thanks Paula, I start to be intolerant of eggs if I eat them too many days in a row. So I save them for Sunday brunch and very rarely for an evening meal when DH works late. As for the sf stuff I don't seem to be bothered by it. In fact it has made my weight loss journey very liveable. How frustrating it must be to have it be such a trigger. Today was a wonderful day. I went shopping with my sil and we had a great day. We had lunch at RolyPoly our favorite place. I tried on lots and lots of clothes but just got a button up shirt and 3 turtlenecks. Just that little bit will expand my wardrobe tremendously. I just can't justify spending alot on alot of clothes. I do need a couple pairs of pants for casual, jeans and maybe cords or khaki's. Breakfast: cereal with milk and splenda no fruit ( I hadn't done my weekly grocery shopping yet) Lunch: 1/2 wrap baked lays and diet coke from Roly Poly. It was core plus 1pt for the tortilla shell, 2or3 for the chips Supper: ? snacks: 3pt twist cone at McDonalds. grapes Water:///// Vitamin: nope

Another thought for breakfast: smoothie with silken tofu and fruit (milk, protein, and carbs!) -- a well rounded "breakfast" that might help your body get used to a more solid beginning.

Hey, girls
I decided to pop in on you, Kate, since you stopped by to visit me this morning. I <3 visitors
I also don't eat breakfast. It's weird, and goes against everything they say. But if I keep myself stable just with a coffee or some tea in the morning, I don't get hungry until lunchtime. But if I eat breakfast before I leave in the morning (8ish) I'm hungry again by 10:00. I don't understand it, and I've tried eating all kinds of things for breakfast - eggs, cereal, oatmeal, doesn't seem to matter what it is - I always get hungry mid-morning. So I've been sticking with my coffee breakfast. It seems like if I give my belly an inch in the morning it wants to take a mile!

I had a great day. Two days off in a row that aren't weekend days are such a luxury. The weather was beautiful. I went out to my parents farm and had a great visit. They are only 4 miles away, but with my work schedule and it being harvest time I haven't been out to see them in almost a month. Shameful. I do see mom every week at church and when she come into the store, but my dad sticks pretty close to the farm. Especially during harvest. My brothers do all of the field work now, but dad sticks around to be the runner if they need anything. He also takes care of the livestock. I make purses and sell them at a local weekend craft fair, and today I picked up my check and the purses that didn't sell. I sold 4 of the 7 I took out so I feel really good about that. I also just got to putter around my house. Fun but could be really dangerous on a too regular basis. I am a boredom eater, so if I'm home for too long I start to get really munchy. I did ok today with grapes and a few french twists. Not perfect but better than baking and eating cookies. Breakfast: usual with coffee Lunch: Bearcreek chicken tortillia soup. As near as I can tell it's core Supper: barley and peas, turkey breast , broccoli slaw, apple Snacks: grapes, 4 french twists 4pts

Hi Kate!
Thanks for the good thoughts. I am feeling better - not 100 percent but not enough to stay home. I think it's so cool that you make purses. You should post some pics!!
It's raining buckets here in NYC. Hope it's dry by you!
Have a great day! Simps

Hi Kate,
Just wandering over your way this morning. Thanks for posting on my journal this morning. It was great to have a message from you.
Oh how I wish I could drop by and visit my dad on the weekends. We live in Oklahoma and he is in Oregon. My mom passed away just a few months ago and I sure do miss her. She was born in Carlisle, Iowa. Your descriptions of your mom and dad's farm sounds so much like my grandma and grandpa's in Minnesota. They were all great people, originally came from a Quaker community.
I have done nothing but sit around the house since my son left on Friday. His cereal bowl is still sitting on his table. I am just lost without him around. But I'm sure something will kick in here and spark my interest.
Hope you have a great week. I know what you mean about $$. My husband is disabled so I had to quit working to care for him. It sounds like you work in a flower shop...is that true? I love flowers, had my own wholesale business for years and worked in a flower shop, then I had an antique store.
Well, just thinking about it all makes me long to get something going again--part-time of course. I have lots of space now that my son has moved out. We'll see...
The sun is up this morning, a good day for a walk.
Sandy
