I'm feeling a little down today. Change in weather, let down from the week end. Our son is heading back to MN and the girls are taking him back. and MONEY. Bleck. Our budget has always been tight and it just seems to get worse and worse. Oh well, we'll just keep plugging away and do our best. ON the up side, our minister and his family hosted a beautiful open house for all of the congregation. They are such a warm and welcoming family. We are so blessed to have them. Breakfast: cereal, banana, skim milk, splenda open house: coffee, bit and bites of this and that Lunch: taco fixn's over brown rice snack: 2pt WW cookies&cream ice cream bar Supper:?

Kate,
I pray your family has a safe return to their homes. And this blue feeling will pass.
Gee, I sure hear ya about the money situation. You're not alone in that boat. We just gotta keep the faith! All will work out in the end.

Paula you are a fantastic cheerleader. Thank you!!! The kids all made it home safely, and I got over my blues. and the money? well we just keep plugging along. There is a wonderful post by Pookie in the thinspirations that has gotten me to thinking about our finances. Boy is it time that WE take charge instead of letting them take charge of us. Now all I have to do is get DH to have the same attitude!!! lol Yesterday food was ok. had a couple of pieces of candy that I shouldn't have, didn't really want them but I was thirsty and let the candy substitute. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I got groceries though and now have plenty of core food to eat. Our kids are all really proud of their momma, and my weight loss, but they sure don't like what I keep in the cupboards. They laughlingly complained all weekend that there was nothing to eat. Too bad kids, this is the way it's going to be. Breakfast: strawberries, banana, sw&b skim, splenda, coffee Lunch: salad with lots of vegies, mock crab, ff ranch, apple supper: taco fixns over brown rice snacks: grapes, 2pt cookie package, sfff vanilla pudding soy nuts

Looking forward to today and tomorrow. I get off work at 2:00pm both days since I have to work the weekend. Then I have Monday and Tuesday off. Maybe I can get the quilt done and some sorting and cleaning that desperately need to be done. I have realized that I need to make a better committment to drinking my water, and cut back on non-core snacks. I do count the points, but I can make beter choices. So today is the day. I will journal them in here to help keep track. Breakfast: usual with coffee Lupper: (lunch and supper combined) black bean vegetable soup from the vegetarian board. ff pudding with strawberries. 6 lofat crackers with butter 2pts Snacks: grapes, 2pt lightbite cookies 2pt baked lays chips, apple crisp invention, 2pts Water: ////// vitamin:* The more people say strange things to me the more I realize the dumb things I have said to people in the past. Really makes me more aware of what not to say. Yesterday someone I have known my whole life(but not well) point blank said "so how much do you weight now" I chuckled and told her I wouldn't say , but I did tell her how much I have lost. Weird, I don't have a problem saying I've lost 76lbs, but I can't tell anyone how much I currently weigh. LOL the things people say 8pts today used

Kate, thanks for visiting my journal and welcoming me back! Your loss has been amazing -- and you're so close to goal! What an inspiration!

Hi Kate! Congrats to you ... only 3.6 to goal. I started WW with only about 20 pounds to loose. That was hard enough. I can't imagine what your transformation has been like. I think you're a amazing -- you not only lost the weight but kept loosing AND still keep it off. My food choices are...particular. But not too strange for NYC. Have a great day.

haha - I didn't take it negatively. It was just funny -- cause even some NYCers say the same thing as you did.

Brrrrrrr. it's cold and windy in Iowa. I deffinately feel the difference in weight loss. I don't have as much insulation as I used to. Breakfast: usual Snack: apple lunch: black bean vegetable soup Supper: brown rice, baked chicken, peas, applle Snack: completely planned chocolate covered salted nut roll, Good but not as good as I remembered. Now it is out of my system. I sometimes allow myself a splurge like the candybar without thinking of counting the points on my weigh in night.I only do this once in a great while, and usually am not really impressed with the taste. We had a good meeting tonight. Talked about visualizing how we will look or feel by Thanksgiving, and the steps we will take to get there. I am concentrating now on getting into better physical shape. I need to start looking for a good video since it's getting too cold to ride my bike on a consistant basis. Can't be anything too bouncy though or I'll kill my knees.

Kate,
Richard Simmons has some really fun videos that aren't too bouncy. Or, have you considered a mini trampoline? They bounce, of course, but no stress on the joints. I had one that I found at Walmart, 25 bucks. But my kids confiscated it, HA! Boy, that thing was really fun!

Paula, I had a mini tramp, back in the 80's. It was fun, but of course there wasn't a video to go with it back then. I have thought about getting a ball, but storrage is a problem along with 2 cats with their claws intact. I haven't even started looking yet. My SIL has Walk away the pounds 1,2,3 that she said I could borrow to try them out. I may start with that. I could also quit being such a wienie, and get out and ride my bike. It's only in the 40's. Not really cold yet. Can you tell I'm not really excited about this whole exercise thing. But I do know I need to do it. LOL
