Hey Marcia! Kemps has a 1 point fudge bar that is really good. It seems to freeze harder than the others I've tried so it takes longer to eat...and that's a good thing ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I got them at Festival. Just be sure to take your slider with you to the store so that you get the right ones...Give'em a try....Also, WW has a 1 point fudge bar. I can only find them at Super Walmart, which is about an hr. away from me, so I don't get there every week. They're good too. Just a thought...you might have lost a little more weight this week if you hadn't had Subway on Sunday. The sodium might have made you retain a little water. OR,,maybe not Anyway..Look at what a [glow=purple,2,300]GREAT JOB[/glow] you're doing!! Keep up the good work... Hope your aches and pains are going away soon, and that you will feel mucho better! Time to take the dog for a walk (mostly for me) and, afterwards, see if I can pack some things for our trip. Have a great Core day....take care of Marcia first...everything else will fall into place.........Jane

Thanks for the ideas Jane! You are right...I had the Sub and I had popcorn that night..... I will check out those bars...really sound good. Although, I think I found a new treat!
I made Lemon ff/sf pudding with 1 cup yogurt and 1 cup skim milk. THen I sliced strawberries on top!! It was wonderful and so pretty. Didn't even miss the cool whip and really was nice enough to serve for guests. And, the yogurt is so much more filling than just using milk
Really enjoyed it....and didn't trigger me to have more like the ice cream bars and the regular pudding with all milk do.
When do you leave on your trip? And how long will you be gone......We will all miss you!!!!
Have a great night!!

Hi Marcia! We're leaving on our trip Monday the 27th. I am going to my meeting as usual. And we'll be back on the 13th of July. I am going to be weighing in every Monday as usual unless the WW center is closed on the 4th, then I'll go on Tuesday. I have to do that to keep me on track...... BUT...you're not getting rid of me that easy!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I know that my daughter has at least 3 computers in her house.....LOL If I can remember to write down the url to kippy's I will be checking in every day, so don't think you can take a vacation from Core ....not that I think you would because you are doing too well to stop now! Take care.....off to take the dog and me for a walk before it gets too warm......

Hi everyone....still here...just have been very busy with bookwork...grrrr.
Have been careful of what I eat...but had to resort to a few TV dinners and have used up a lot of WPA because of them. Thankful that I have them here for emergencies.
Definitely need to make a trip to the store and do some premade meals!! No time till next week....so will do my best.
Here are 3 days of journals:
Tues 6/21 Day 2 Wk 7
B oatmeal bake, skim milk L TV dinner, cottage cheese, cantaloupe 2WP S Pudding and berries D Tuna mac & cheese, salad
2WP, total 7WPA
Wed 6/22 Day 3 Wk 7
B omelette, berries, toast 1WP L TV DInner, salad, cottage cheese 3WP S pudding, berries D bunless cheeseburger, sliced tomatoes
4WP, total 11WP
Thurs 6/23 Day 4 Wk 7
B omelette, toast,pineapple 1WP
L TV Dinner, pineapple, cottage cheese 2WP
S Apple, 2 cookies 2WP
D Steak, potato, asparagus
S popcorn, ice cream bar, peach 2WP
7WP, 18 WPA total
Strange few days. Just for kicks, added up food points to see how I would be doing if I was on FLex.....lotsa points...hmmmmmm. Oh well, not supposed to matter. I know I had a lot of sodium the last few days with the TV dinners and popcorn. Can surely feel the bloatiness.
Sitting in a chair and doing bookwark for a week straight doesn' give a person much exercise. But I did force myself to take an hour and get out in the pool and exercise twice in last couple of days.
Will try to get out in the pool again today in between bookwork.....maybe even ride my exercycle a few minutes.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Jane, How exciting for you to go to your daughters on Monday!! What is the temperature there? Might be pretty hot!! Aren't you glad you don't have all of that extra weight? Can you imagine how hot and uncomfortable you would be with the extra weight? Has your daughter seen you since you lost all of this weight? If not, she will be so surprised and excited for you! I really think that you are lucky to have a dog.....really does get you out of the house and walking!!! A great buddy for you! If I were to walk....I would like to do it early in AM....and no one around here is up then! No excuse,,....I know!! Well, better get to reading the other postings and then get back to work!! You have a great day.....

Hi Marcia,
Thanks for the kind note. Losing weight is getting harder and harder the closer to goal I get. I know that's what supposed to happen, but it's definitely frustrating.
I have had major alterations done the dress already. Bleh! I mean, it's a good bleh, but the cost of alterations is kind of depressing.
Good luck to you!! It seems like you've been doing really well and gotten over the initial Core breaking-in hump. Have a great weekend!

Good Morning All,
What beautiful weather we are finally having!!!! It is sunny and lovely in Minnesota today!!!
I finally decided to get into the pool every day and exercise....3 days in a row now....exercising strongly for about an hour. It has really felt good. Plan on getting out there again in a couple of hours. Still need to push myself to get on the exercycle. Will try to do this today.
Went to Applebees last night....had a Core salad...it worked out just fine. Not very filling....should have used the extra WPA and had one of those delicious looking WW desserts. .....We went to friends home to play cards....they all ate nuts, donuts and goodies.....I drank water!!!! Rats! Should have brought myself some treats or veggies or something. Oh well, I made it through and had my oatmeal and a couple of 1pt cookies when I got home!!
Have a great day everyone!!!
Friday 6/24 Day 5 Week 7
B 2 poached eggs, toast, berries 1WP
L Shrimp Salad
S Pudding, berries
D Mesquite Chicken Salad (Applebees)
S Oatmeal, 2 cookies 2WP
8 water, 3 coffee, 1 diet soda, 3WP, 21 total WPA
Take care,,,,......

Hi...
Sounds like you are doing great!! I've been on the boards for only a little bit the last few days-trying to get organized for our trip.
The weather down south is about 90 degrees. I am so glad that my daughter has a pool in her back yard! I'm sure we will take full advantage of it.... Things have been stressful for their family the last few days. My son-in-law's mom has cancer and might not make it through the weekend. The chemo was not working so she opted to stop all meds and just let what happens, happen. She went to sleep last night (Friday) and hasn't woke up since. Hospice says it just a matter of days.... I feel so sorry for Bobby-he's such a good guy, with a heart as big as Texas, which is where he was born. My daughter was very lucky to find him....
Anyway...hope things are going well for you and I'm sending you skinny vibes for a great WI!! I'll try to get back online before we leave Monday afternoon and see how everybody did.
Take care...Jane

Hi Jane, I am sure you are so busy getting ready....how fun for you!! Are you flying? What about your dog?
90 degrees doesn't sound too bad...you will surely enjoy the pool though! I have been exercising in the pool the last few days....just go in deep water...tread water by pretending you are running or cross country skiing.....really moving your arms and legs. Sounds silly...but really is good....you can really feel it in your tummy, arms and legs. (my skinny neighbor showed me how to do this)
Sorry to hear about Bobby's mom's Cancer. That is so sad and so hard. She must be pretty young too. My brother died last year of Cancer at 52 yrs old....I still am not over it....we were very close. If she went to sleep Friday nite, then it will most likely be soon.
My sister in law died at home of Cancer...also very young. Hospice told us that when everyone leaves the room, that is when the patient will usually finally let go. They usually hang on for us because they don't want to hurt us. And once we leave the room and give them permission to let go...they usually will. This was true ...Pat had been asleep for several days....we sat with her around the clock...never leaving the room....when we finally listened to Hospice and sat in the next room.....we could still see her....finally after 15 min. ...she took her last breath. Amazing, how hospice knew that.
Anyway, enough of sadness.
I posted my scale woes on the General thread!! Take a look.
Going to make Cornmeal mush this morning and try frying it....since everyone raves about it....will see what I think.
Still haven't tried Couscous...doesn't sound or look good to me...but maybe one of these days....
You have fun today...pack Kippy's web address...pack lots of shorts and your swimsuit....

Hi...I read and posted about your fake weight gain! Girl, have you been eating horse shoes??? If not, then it was probably just water.......
Sorry to hear about your brother..that was very young...time is a great healer, but I still miss my dad, even after 27 years...
Bobby's mom passed away last night about 8:30. I didn't get the call until a couple of hours later. Bobby and his brother were with her, just holding her hands. His sister has left long enough to go to the store, and it happened while she was gone. Maybe, that was for the best. The oldest brother is on his way from Texas. He left yesterday afternoon but wasn't able to get there in time. He's a minister who deals with this all the time, but when it comes to family, I don't think he's any different from anybody else. Glad they will be there to comfort each other. Funeral plans are not set yet, so I don't know if we'll be there in time for it or not. Or it possibly could be on the day we get there. Just have to take it as it comes...and be as supportive as I can. My DH and Bobby have always had a good relationship and I'm glad he'll be there to help however he can.
I'm off to finish packing and fix some lunch in a little bit.....
I'll be posting my WI results before we leave for Duluth tomorrow....and hoping we both have good things to report!
Take care...Jane
p.s. The dog is going to the kennel we always use, a neighbor is coming in to feed the cat and fish, and our bird is going to another neighbor, who spoils him silly... And..oh yeah...we are flying....Duluth to Detroit to Raleigh..on the return flight, we are flying into the cities, and then on to Duluth......

Hi Marcia,
Thanks for visiting. I'm glad to hear that you've been able to exercise more. I think you were wondering about how to incorporate that into your lifestyle.
Congrats and good luck this week!
