Thanks! It's a one day at a time process.....but I love the Core plan. And I love my meetings....
Yucky day here too! It looks like a WATP tape day instead of walking the trails.
My stepson is in the Brainerd area and loves all outdoor activities. He decided to wait til the weather is nicer to go fishing. Me, I am from NC and not used to the cold, cold weather, even after almost 5 years. Looking forward to going 'home' for a few weeks at the end of June.
Have a great day...

Good Morning Everyone! Wishing all of you a wonderful, blessed Sunday....thought I would do my journalling before I get ready for church. More rain in Minnesota!!! Will summer ever come? By the time summer comes....the mosquitoes will probably come too!! Going to our son's today after church...and taking the family out to eat....hope to find someplace that I can easily eat CORE. Yesterday was fine....followed the program...but feel like all we do is eat, eat, eat. I think I am becoming obsessed with food! Really need to get outside.....rain or not! Hopefully, going to son's will help with the food obsession! Tomorrow is 1 week on CORE.....hopefully I have lost something. But, I know I am eating too much.....healthy....but too much. Look at other journals and see that others are not eating this much. Oh, well.......here is my journal for yesterday:
Breakfast Sat. 5/14 Day 6 oatmeal, skim milk, 1/2 apple Snack pistachio FF pudding, FF cool whip, popcorn Lunch Tomato soup 2 tuna melts (2WP) FF cottage cheese w/pineapple Snack Leftover BBQ ribs Salad w/FF dressing Dinner CORE corn cakes Delicious Steak Spinach Asparagus Snack 1/2 apple w/cinnamon & splenda
8 water, 2 half caf, 2 diet soda, 2WP, Total WP9 Zero exercise...ugh!
Not trying new recipes today....
Have a Great Day! Remember, Yesterday was history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift....that's why they call it the present!
God Bless, MM

Hey Marcia- Glad to see you're finding a method of journaling you like, and I'm doubly glad to see you're enjoying Core! Sorry to butt in, but I noticed a couple of things you might not know as a newbie. 1. I don't think ribs of any kind are a Core meat. I just checked the extensive Food List on the WW site, and didn't see any ribs listed. (Which makes sense, because they are extremely fatty.) Are you sure those were Core? The sauce might have been, but not the meat. Sorry! 2. There were also a couple of desserts I'm not sure you're counting properly: the apple crisp and the banana split. Only 1 WPA for the banana split? It was with ice cream, right? Also, what was the "crisp" for the apples -- everything I could think of that would be that in a dessert isn't Core, so I'm not sure that it wouldn't have WPAs. I'm just asking because you said you thought you were eating too much, and I would hate for you to have a surprise at the scale. You can still eat and count all those foods, and I suspect that you'll still be under your 35 WPAs, but before you think more WPAs left than you do, it might be good to re-calculate your total. Good luck and I hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Kristen, Thank you so much for your reply! Actually, I think I am ok.....all of the recipes are CORE style. The BBQ ribs.....sliced strips of lean boneless pork cooked in slow cooker....then covered with CORE recipe BBQ sauce.....really was delicious....will never buy BBQ sauce again.....this truly was good. The apple crisp was also a CORE recipe....not the greatest....but ok....apples, oatmeal, splenda, brown sugar twin, cinnamon, mashed banana. The banana split.....sliced banana, Walden Farms choc syrup (FF and no carb and no calories), 2 T Kashi cereal, FF cool whip, pineapple in own juice, strawberry I think that my recipes are all ok.....I am just concerned that I seem obsessed with eating all of the time....plan.....cook....eat....do dishes....over and over again....LOL. Thanks again for you comments.....I need all of the encouragement and help that I can get.....the scale is going up.....not down....for the last couple of days....ugh!!
Have a great day!!!!! MM

Ahhhhh. Oh, I gotcha! I was thinking you meant rib ribs - my mistake!
The other recipes do sound fine, now that you've explained them. Thanks for filling me in!
As for the scale going up "the last couple of days", have you been weighing yourself every day? I would STRONGLY recommend that you not -- our weight fluctuates so much day-to-day, trying to gauge it every 24 hours is extremely unreliable, and mentally, it can encourage us to self-sabotage. Just do it once a week to get a general check-in.
There was a link somewhere around here that described all the common-sense reasons why daily weighing fluctuates so much. I really loved that because it explained it so well.
