Thank you all so much for being here for me. Yesturday was a little better but I still have that nervous eating (snacking) going on. I did go for a walk last night and I really felt so much better. Today I am starting out with a fruit bowl for breakfast. Lunch will be a salad with crabmeat etc. I will try to control my snacking. Dinner will probably be stir fry vegetables over brown rice. Well that is my goal for today.

My leader had a great meeting last night and it seems she knows what I need. She had everyone talk about what you do when you get discouraged and when you are doing fine. It was a great meeting. It was discussed about all the picnics that we go to in the summertime. She suggested that when you are lining up to get food to stay toward the back of the line because by the time you get to it the food is not so appealing. I might have posted this before but I just think that is a good suggestion. One of the other girls mentioned that when she wakes and is ready to go out the door for the day that she closes her eyes and imagines what she wants to look like. It puts her in the right frame of mine for the day. Another person says she looks at particular food (her example was meatballs) and imagines magits in it (that grossed me out). Well I am going to start today on a positive side.

Someone else posted here that when someone brings doughnuts or pastries to her workplace, she imagines that someone had sneezed on them before she got there. Still works for me!

Today is starting out good. I am constantly talking to my innerself say ----" you are not hungry" "just drink water". So far 1/2 of the day is gone and I have done good.
B = Oatmeal, apple
L = tuna sandwich
I have already had 2 bottles of water and 1/2 cup of coffee.
I wanted to come back and update what I actually had. I was so proud of myself.....I had a wonderful day.
S = finished the rest of the tuna w/wheat crackers
D = stir fry shrimp w/brown rice
S = watermelon/canteloupe/strawberries and cup of coffee
That was it....YES. (oops I also had more water). I went to bed feeling soooo good that I had a successful day.

Hi, GrandmaCore! I've been away for about a year and boy, am I ready to be back. Even though this board is sorta like a ghost town compared to the "old days," I need it desperately. Maybe we can keep each other company! I've restarted my journal as well!

I have been on and off WW since 1984 and have finally decided to stop counting exchanges, points or calories and do CORE. I am glad to see there are at least three of us back on this board working toward healthier lives.
