I'm also halfway thru the new Harry. I like it much better than the last one. It was tough to put down last night -- and I had to consciously keep myself from picking it up again this morning, or I would have been late to work.
I also love the Kathy Reichs books. I was in the middle of "Deja Dead" when Harry arrived... Kathy will have to wait for another 300 pages or so.

Just finished a book called "The Kite Runner", the author's fist name is Khaled, can't spell the last name. It was phenomenal. I actually cried at the end!

I'm reading Rashomon Gate by I.J. Parker. It's the first in a series of mystery novels set in 11th century Japan -- the newest in the series was published recently, and I'm hooked -- definitely planning on reading the others.
I heard (read?) on another chatboard this morning that John Irving has a new novel out. Has anyone gotten it yet? I'm going to have to look for it when I go to the mall this weekend.

I have been reading Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series (Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, and The Fiery Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes -releases in Sept.) and really enjoyed them.
These are time-travel/romance stories, ranging from 1700s-1900s.

I loved the latest Harry Potter. *sigh*
Now I just have to wait two more years for the answer to so many questions....

I'm reading the new Harry Potter, but I have to fight with my 14 year old for it, and it's her book.
I recommend reading everything by Jennifer Weiner (Good in Bed, In Her Shoes, Little Earthquakes). So refreshing to read an author with a "big girl" point of view.
I also recommend everything by Barbara Kingsolver. She's incredible.

I've been reading J.D.Robb. they are futuristic murder novels. Pretty graphic in places but good. They remind me alot of C.S.I. only in the future. Am looking forward to DH to finish Harry so I can read it. So don't spoil the story anyone lol.

I like all of Oprah's Book Club books...I sometimes find them at garage sales.
I read Anna Karinina last year and it was so good. Now she's featuring Faulkner's books, which I read many years ago, but hey, at my age...I can't remember them anyway.

The Time Traveler's Wife (author is, I think, Audrey Niffenegger), is really wonderful.
