Hi Everbody, I kept coming back and thinking nobody was here, then I realized just now that I wasn't refreshing the page....no wonder I was the lone core ranger. lol
I had a couple of rough days getting back on track, but I sure feel better being back in the core groove.
My dear sweet DH asked me to make him brownies last night....NO WAY! I told him "Yea, you eat one. I eat 20."
Now here's a comment from a normie: "What's the matter, don't you have any self control?"
Me back: "Yea, and I said NO!"
He sufficed on a PB & Honey sandwich--and I didn't have to stare at a pan of brownies on the counter.
Have a good week everyone! I'm not up on the posts so I'll just start from here.
I can't even figure out how to change my ticker. Give it a day or two, cause I KNOW I'm losing this week!
Seriously, it's so good to be back.

Good question Nightsinge!
I was thinking about that very subject today....kind of wondering WHY am I doing this? I knew before that my heart just wasn't in it....I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It was kind of surreal.
MY TOP 3 REASONS FOR WEIGHT LOSS
1) I just don't feel good when I'm fat.
2) When I eat CORE, I feel more confident and happy.
3) Eating badly makes me crazy and think other people are mean to me.

I can't believe it's time for another challenge already! Something in March just seems too quick, though. How about another Fool's Day challenge? Isn't that how we all got started with this?
Sandy, I'm so glad you're back! Your little grandson is absolutely beautiful; thanks for sharing his pictures.

Happy Valentine's Day Ladies! You all deserve the best today.
The challenge is over - I am in no way closer to my weight loss goals than I was when the challenge started. I think I am exactly at the same weight, actually. But I am almost through with Week 5 of Couch to 5K which I am very excited about and I have also been trying a lot of new WW recipes which was also one of my goals.
My top 3 reasons for weight loss:
1) to have BMI and weight range be considered "healthy" and not overweight 2) to be around for my DH and DS for many, many years to come 3) to do whatever I can to combat the cancer in my family history (my Mom died of ovarian cancer at the age of 52)
Have a wonderful day everyone! Onto the next challenge.
-Beth

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY CORE BUDDIES!I'm up for it! I LOVE the idea of another April Fool's Challenge. In fact, I was just looking at my whole batch of gifs and cheerleaders. If you all like I could lead this one, then maybe somebody else could do the next one. (I don't want to take from anybody else, if somebody else is already volunteering.)
Besides, I need to keep active on the board and the best way for me to do that is be the cheerleader.
First cheer of the day:

Welcome back Sandy and congrats on the beautiful grandchild! Sure have missed you. I can't belive today was valentine's day. We dont' really celebrate it, so I didn't think about it until realizing I hadn't checked in here most of the week. I'm having a VERY crazy week at work, and it's only Wednesday. In addition my 6 year old had a serious allergic reaction to something he ate (as in call the ambulance, shots of epi, go to the ER etc.) but he is OK. Just has been a huge extra stressor and some medical issues to deal with in terms of follow-up. So, the bad news is, I'm continuing to struggle. And the good news is, I'm continuing to struggle. I'm not giving up. See you on the April Fool's Challenge.

Wait a sec! I need to post my final results for the V-day challenge. I didn't set a weight goal, but I lost 3.6 this week. I'm in virgin fat territory, and only have 2.2 pounds to go until goal!!!!!
The last time I hit a new low was in October, so basically, it's taken me four months to lose a single pound. And I'm scared to death that I'm now facing another four-month battle to lose the next one.
The good news is that my decision three weeks ago to eliminate eating APs seems to be paying off. It's hard, and I've exceeded my WPA every week, but it seems to be what I need right now.
Kudos to all the challengers, and welcome back, Grandma Sandy!

Congratulations Vita!!! Maybe you should say vigrgin lean territory. You're deffinately not fat. So, here's the thing, although I know it's frustrating, but so what it it takes 4 months to lose a pound? There is still progress being made, look at the connection you have made concerning aps, YOU are doing fantastic and I'm excited for you and proud of you.
As for me? I think I leave this challenge at a higher weight than when I started. I need to do some serious evaluation of my goals and attitude. I've allowed myself to get really sloppy and I need to "straighten up and fly right" as my dad would say.
Sandy, I can't think of anything more motivating right now than a bunch of your fantastic cheers. Thanks so much for wanting to take on the roll. You are a blessing:) HIHO Katie

Happy day after VD to all! I wasn't in work yesterday due to snow & ice and it's not gone because it's super cold here in NJ. I'll have to go back on this thread and see where I was and what my goals were for the VD challenge... I did learn a lot, and started a journal..maintaining is the same as losing and every day's a challenge, struggle and victory. This is life life life. YES THANKS Sandy for volunteering for our 2nd annual Fool's Challange and THANKS Xena & Beth for running past challenges - we need them! Can't wait. Ema - Hope your son is feeling better, how scary. Night - HIHO. I WI tonight and I'll post mine if you will! Vita - Don't be scared! You can do it! 2.2 from goal how exciting - once you are there you will see the challenges are the same but you will have MADE IT! Katie - HIHO. You can do it. Beth - Maintaining is good! And you met your other goals! Sulee - Good job! My 3 reasons for wanting to lose weight and keep it off: 1) I think I look and feel better near the proper weight for my body type/height. 2) I know eating right (Core) is better for my prolonged good health. 3) Summer vacation is coming... Have a great day everyone!

Weigh to go Vita!!!! ;DN Good for you!
Katie, I'm in the same boat and have begun the process of serious thinking. I know we can do this.
Ema, the struggle is good--it's always better than the giving up. Wishing you a successful journey.
Sulee, Cathy and everyone: As always, I believe that we succeeded in the real challenge: sticking with it! Congrats to all of us for working through our stuff and being here for one another. Mwah!
