Alright. I've been mulling this question over in my head. Weight Watchers states that you can only have WW pasta once a day (or potatoes or brown rice), yet ww couscous is on the list of acceptable more than once a day things.
WW couscous is just ww pasta in a different shape. I *think* Weight Watchers says any couscous is OK. Technically, non-whole-wheat couscous is white pasta.
What gives?

I don't know about you, but pasta is a BIG trigger for me. Even when I make ww pasta (rarely) I end up eating a bit more than I need to feel satisfied.
One of the factors that went into devising the core plan was examining such triggers. That's one reason that 94% ff popcorn is ok...but the kettle corn version isn't core. Many of us are likely to eat more of the kettle corn type!
I do like cous cous (and bulghar even more) but I seem to be able to stop when I'm satisfied. Maybe that's the difference?

Good point, nightsinge. I mean, how much couscous can most people possibly eat? I could eat pasta until the cows come home.

There are several things about the Core program, that doesn't seem to make sense to me, but I just put my faith into the fact that WW has done the research and made up the best plan possible. Following the program has allowed me to lose 80lbs and keep it off for over a year. So I guess they do know something. lol It works for me. Katie
