I have heard that if you do activities during the week, you can add to your 35 weekly points that you have used even with Core? Is this true? If so, how many points do you get for working out how long?

Hello lala! In your week 3 booklet, activity points are explained. I'm not sure where to find the info online, I hope someone with an online membership will come along and give you this info sometime this week.
Anyway, exercise points are calculated according to intensity of the exercise and your weight. Someone who weighs 150 ponds and does 30 minutes of moderate exercise will get 1 point. Someone doing the same amount and type of exercise, but who weighs 250 pounds will get 2 points
Activity points must be eaten in the same day you earn them.

You can visit caloriesperhour.com and select the Activity Calculator. Enter your pertinent info. Select your activity from the menu. Enter the length of time you did the exercise, and you'll get a calculation of calories burned. Count 1 Activity Point per 100 cals burned.
Remember to re-calculate periodically as you lose weight, because as Pookie said, as your weight goes down (and your BMI drops), so does your calorie burn.
