Hello Im new here..Ive had a chance to check out some of the recipes and just wanted to say thanks to all, cant wait to start trying so many of them out. I've started to do Weekly Menu's it seems to keep me on track.
Anyway about myself my name is Tina..and I live in Portland OR. I am a stay at home mom..I have one 5mo old DS and one 14y/o DD. My eatting has been off track for a number of years..only once did I get back under control for a short period of time..only to gain it back rather quickly..but that was about 11yrs ago, so like I said its been awhile since I've been on track.
I've done WW in past with not much success due to my own fault. This time around I am doing this online, and not only me but the whole family is involved(dieting) My partner is over weight too, so he's giving this a try. I just started a exercise routine today, doing indoor rowing which I did for 20mins. So far since starting back on plan I have lost 4 lbs. Starting date was 1/4.
Pleasure to be here.
Tina in OR.
STATS STARTED 1/04/06 197/194/120ish

Welcome, Claudine and Tina! Yes, nine pounds in five days is probably at least partly water weight, but it is still a FABULOUS start! Your weight loss will slow down after the first couple of weeks, as you probably know; the plan is designed to promote a half a pound to two pound loss per week. I have found the scale to be a fickle friend, but if you stick with Core, you WILL see results! I've lost more than 50 pounds since Dec. 27, 2004 and made Lifetime at the end of October, and if I can do it, ANYONE can! You just have to make the commitment to stick to it through all the challenges life throws your way, get back on track when you slide off, and enjoy the journey.

I started two days ago. I did W.W. before and lost weight. But I fell back to my old ways. Now my doctor said that I need to lose weight. (Thyroid) I know W.W. works, but this is the first time I did the Core plan. My daughter lost 6lbs. last week, so I thought I would give it a try. I am feeling pretty good about it. Especially since I found this site. There is a lot of good ideas and support. Especially receipts.
Thanks for the support ;D

I'm a newbee too and this website is so wonderful with all the core recipes. I tried Flex and I was always starving and binged often so I failed. But I am honestly excited about Core. I thought about initially when I started WW but I felt it was too restrictive. Now I think it is perfect because I've found all these fabulous recipes and people who are so inspirational!
Thanks to everyone who started this website and all who contribute! You are fabulous!

Hello, I am new to this board. I have done Core from time to time, however this time I want to stick to it and not use it as a all you can eat smorgasborg. I will need a lot of help.
I just found out about this site, and I am really excited to explore it.
I will be looking at this site often and will be looking at the recipes and other help.

Hey hello! I am also a newbie to this site but not to Weight Watches. Over the years I have gained and lost enough weight to make up a small person I think!! LOL
THIS time, I am truly commited and have lost 10.8 pounds since Dec.1/05. I have 12 to go and I am thinking these will be the toughest.
The song says..."the first cut is the deepest" but I think these "last 12 will be the hardest!"
Any advice? Words of wisdom? HELP!!

Welcome! You can do this. Words of advice: Read everything you can get your hands on about Core and low energy density (Volumetrics) eating. Enjoy the boards. Post your questions. Take the time to really learn this program -- you have the rest of your life to live this lifestyle. Be willing to do what it takes. Get moving -- activity really helps.
