I'm looking for a movie to rent tonight, and wondering if anyone can recommend a good psych thriller. I'm not much of a fan of excessive gratuitous violence, so super bloody/gory recommendations aren't for me

Deceived (1991) starring Goldie Hawn.

What Lies Beneath, stars Harrison Ford & Michele Pfeifer. It made me jump several times!

How about some classics?
The Spiral Staircase (1946) Dorothy McGuire
Spellbound (1945) Gregory Peck
Rear Window (1954) Jimmy Stewart
Strangers on a Train (1951)

Totally off topic, but have you guys seen the Simpson's episode that plays off of Dead Calm? Hilarious!
And now for other recommendations -- Have you seen The Game (1996(?))? It really tripped me out when I saw it in college.

Very Very Gory but good psyche. "Saw".
I also like "Taking Lives" which was a good psych thriller but not so bloody.

Dead Calm stars a young (pre Tom) Nicole Kidman. Love it.
I second the suggestion to rent Spellbound!
I know I'm posting way late. . . .
I also liked the Life of Kevin Gale (but it does have a death penalty theme that may be controversial or "heavy" for some, but very clever, different and keeps you thinking).

CopyCat with Holly Hunter and Sigorne Weaver
One of the most intense (but not terribly graphic or bloody) movies I have seen.
