Hello one and all!
Welcome to Thinspirations, a place where we can share inspirational stories, quotes, websites, etc. This is a place for positive thoughts, ideas that help to inspire us to greater levels.
I am huge on inspirational quotes, they really help to get the fire burning hot for me! I really believe that our weight loss is about mind, body and spirit, and that inspiration can come from both inside and out.
My favorite inspirational quote for the day: Persistence: The race goes not always to the swift...but to those who keep on running.
Akansan (Ronda) will also be co moderating, and we invite you to share your inspirations with us and the WWKippy community at large!
Cheers!

When you're perusing the boards, you find so many inspirations stuck in the bottom of signatures...but you have to look for those. And then once you've found them once, there's no guarantee the same inspiration will be there the second time.
So this little home has been born. Let's share our inspirations, our motivations -- the stories that move us to do better, to be better -- with each other.
So here's my opening quote:
Nothing is predestined: The obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings. Ralph Blum
This quote stuck out at me when I first started Core specifically. Many people say they could never attempt Core because if given the opportunity to eat unlimited foods they know they'll overeat. It's what they've always done. It's what made them need WW in the first place.
But really, Core is about learning how to eat healthy and responsibly -- it's about using our past to learn our future.
Just because you've always been this way does not mean you always have to be this way. When you were born the skinny fairy didn't purposely avoid you because you were meant to be fat.
So learn from the mistakes of the past and change your future. You have that power.

What a light bulb flash to see ksusarah and akansan moderating here! My DH is a born Kansan and we just spent Christmas in Topeka! (We have family alumni and undergrads at KSU, Washburn, and KU.) Not my point for being here though, here's a quote that found its way to me Tuesday and prepared me for the unexpected 2.2 gain at my WW meeting scale: Success consists of getting up just one more time than you fall. -Oliver Goldsmith. Hope it will help you as well!
