Just wanted to share that I made goal at my meeting yesterday . . . but the leader didn't say anything and I didn't speak up. I will be sure to toot my horn next week, though!
I do feel a little anti-climactic, though. One, because I have made my WW goal, but my personal goal is six pounds lower. I thought this would help me not feel so stressed about weigh-ins once I make Lifetime.
Two, because this is really just the beginning of a long, difficult journey. Okay, hopefully not *too* difficult, but you know what I mean. I have to continue on this path; I can never go back to the way I used to eat. Not that I want to, but I have a fear that I will. That's why I am so glad to have the support here and at the "other" board -- I know you guys understand what I'm talking about.
So I see this as just the first, and probably the easiest goal to reach, out of quite a few celebrations: Making my "personal" goal; making Lifetime; my Core anniversary, my Lifetime anniversary . . . and on and on. I will never forget December 27, 2004 as the day I discovered (and started) Core, and changed my life forever.

Congrats. I understand setting your goal lower than your WW goal. That's been really helpful to me. It's been easy for me to say "oh, I'm at goal, I can have that." So watch that! You're supposed to get a gold star to put on your 10% keyring--did you at least get that to look at? Again, way to go! I'm proud of you!

Congratulations, Coco! I hope you had proper celebration at your meeting yesterday!
I understand your anxiety about slipping back into old habits. Been experience a bit of slippage myself lately. But I'm finding that my new habits are very strong, and because the "tao" of Core is so sensible and focuses more on the long term lifestyle change and less on the short term weight loss phase, I think Core prepares us for maintenance much better than Flex.
It's natural to be anxious when you meet one challenge and go on to the next, but I have confidence in you!

Thanks, Sarpon! I do know I can do this, but this week has been "sloppy." For this coming month, I am going to be better prepared, and also get back into my exercise routine, cold or no cold.
BTW, my leader still hasn't said anything about my making goal. There is part of me that wonders if this is because I haven't been there from the beginning of my journey -- so that all they see is that I have lost 11 pounds, not 50. Last week, I made a point of telling the weigh-in lady that I had made goal the week before, and she was really nice and encouraging, especially when I told her about my total weight loss, and told me I looked wonderful. I was late, so I missed the part of the meeting where members toot their own horns. I think today I'll speak up and say something like, "I made goal two weeks ago and as of today I've lost _______ pounds, including my time online and in these meetings."

coco...make sure they give you the maintenance book and that they have marked you as on maintenance.. and, ask that they celebrate your reaching goal. If it isn't mentioned raise your hand and say something. You've workied so hard you deserve the "credit" for it.
