I just wanted to share my personal feeling of satisfaction that I am still on CORE after 2 months of caring for my mother and she finally died. Then there was the funeral and coming home tired tired tired.
I slept for a week nonstop. But all of the time I stayed pretty close to CORE....even when I was off of it, I wanted to eat CORE. And all of this time I did not gain weight.
Yesterday I finally felt better and went to join WW live---I have been online-only before. I'm glad I did....although there was certainly not much said about CORE. Then I went to the chiropractor and scheduled a therapeutic massage for today. I also started taking a daily walk. So, all in all, I feel like maybe I'll be getting better, eventually.

Sorry about your mom. I lost mine 2 yrs. ago. Walking was a big help for me. Sometimes alone and sometimes with a friend. You need both....quiet time and friends. Just take one day at a time and remember you have all the memories that no one can take. I found out when I went to WW that if I went earlier and started talking with others and found out what plan they were on that you will find someone on core and then you just start opening up converstation in the grp meeting about core. Our group now talks about both. Get some rest and it sounds like you did ok with the WW part.

Sorry for your loss...
Taking care of yourself is one of the best things you can do...
Do whatever it takes to make it thru....

I'm so sorry for your loss. What an amazing gift you gave to your mother in being able to care for her at the end of her life as she cared for you in the begining of yours. I know you will have to re-orient yourself to life without her, and as others have said enjoy your special memories.

Wildflower, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. All our thoughts are with you. You are one of the many inspirations on this board, and not just on the subject of weight loss!

You guys are all so nice. It just makes me cry. I talked to my dad yesterday and he is so full of love, but sadness too. He was so happy that I came and we all enjoyed each other's company.
Today I went to the chiropractor again and then went antiquing and garage saling...it was so pleasant just to poke around.
I am doing good on CORE...at least I feel happy with it. I will take the advice and try to get to the meetings early to make better friends. One of the girls goes to my church. I feel like I'm coming out of a cave.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm glad to see that you're taking care of yourself, though -- both in terms of Core and otherwise.

Sandy,
It is so hard to lose a loved one, thank God you could be with your family.
I bet your mother would be so proud of you, and how well you are doing on core, and caring for yourself.
