Interesting Restaurant Choice

Hi all!! Last night dh and I ended up at Applebees for dinner. We both love that place, although we don't get to get out without kids very often!! Anyways, I immediately looked at the WW menu and was prepared to order from it, when I suddenly decided I really and truly wanted to order something NOT Core and NOT very good for me. So, I ordered the chicken fajitas and only ate about 1/3 of the dish. I ate 2 of the tortillas with chicken, peppers, onions, some sour cream, and very little cheese. I tried the rice, but it was too spicy, so dh ate all of it. I also had only one beer (OK, it was a big ONE) and a glass of water.

It was interesting because this need had been simmering in me for quite awhile. We went out many times while on vacation a few weeks ago and I never ordered anything that was not Core or low-fat. So, I ordered off the regular menu last night and only at part of the meal. I think I ate a normal sized portion. I enjoyed every bite, but didn't obsess about the Non-Coreness of it.

It felt really good and I think I got a peek at how normal thin people eat in restaurants. Just wanted to share!! Monica

Sounds like you had a great time! And, you must be so proud of yourself for not feeling guilty....

Just curious - did the food upset your stomach? I've read several posts that state when they ate "off Core" their stomachs really acted up. Hopefully, yours didn't.

Ok, now this is kinda funny. My stomach was not upset at all after eating the meal, BUT yesterday I had a stomachache and couldn't figure out why!!!!! You just made me think that it was because of the meal I ate on Saturday night?? HHHMMM.........you just might be on to something!!!

I don't usually have stomachaches, unless I'm nervous, and yesterday was a calm day, no stress. Interesting...........Monica
