So after reading the changing behavior thread I was wondering what one thing I could change that would make my diet healthier. Small thing... I think trying a few new whole grains would help my food variety quite a bit. So I am going to try one new grain this week and see if I like it. Anyone else have small changes they want to make

I used to try a new fruit or vegetable every time I went shopping, but then I ran out of new produce. I met kale, kohlrabi, garlic scapes, carambola, and pomegranates that way. I'll have to start searching for new farm stands in the spring. Trying new food is always fun. We just got a membership to the Y, so I'm going to start exercising again this week. I have my bag packed and plan to head to the gym after work and grocery shopping. It's been a while since I've exercised regularly , so I should probably start slow (I'm also prone to injury, so better safe than sorry).

Now I'm really red-faced. The unexpected snow made the roads a bit treacherous, so I went straigh home after the grocery store. This week is bad - I have a meeting in another town tomorrow afternoon, an appointment after work Wednesday, and class Thursday. I'll try again tomorrow...

I think the small change I am working on is eliminating sugar and sf stuff. I really don't like the sf stuff and so that leave me with healthy sweetners and points.
I am learning how to modify things and enjoy not having those sweet treats.
Thanks for the post.

I want to add more veggies to my diet--I am currently only eating 1-2 servings a day, and I would like to be eating 3-4--so, my small change is to add two veggie servings a day!!

Me too, RachelZ! I have no problem getting the fruit in... Eating more veggies is my mini-goal for the next week.
