Can not get Avatar to work

I have been trying all morning to insert one of my own pictures as my Avatar.

I MUST be doing someting very wrong I am getting NO where I NEED HELP

I saved the picture to Image Venue at 100X 100 but I well it will not show up

Help me tech god(esses)
