I figured I needed to boost my activity to start losing again after a LONG plateau so I got a personal trainer 3 weeks ago. I train with her (lots of abs and resistance) 1 hour, twice a week plus half an hour on the cross-trainer. 2 to 3 times a week I do either just cardio or cardio + nautilus circuit. I've been following CORE. How come I've gained 1.4 pounds each week for the last two weeks? I could sit around and eat cookies all day and gain! At WW they tell me to eat more (activity points) but what do I eat? My leader last night said prime rib but I don't eat red meat. I don't want to eat junk (non-core). Please, any suggestions will be appreciated before I give up, save my money and get lazy again!

Are you stopping eating when you no longer feel hungry, as soon as you feel satisfied? Are you getting in all your water and other guidelines for healthy eating?
No, you don't want to eat junk just to eat your AP's. Eat an extra serving of fruit, a little extra carbs or some protein. There is non-core non-junk to spend your AP's on: peanut butter on celery or a sliced apple or a slice of whole wheat bread or a slice of low fat cheese, an extra teaspoon of olive oil (beyond the 2 tsp that are not needed to be counted on core) on cooked veggies or a salad.
Don't give up save your money and get lazy again! That won't get you to your goal of being healthy any faster, and you'll spend more money on health care and bigger clothes than you're spending on WW meetings now.

You are gaining MUSCLE! Yeah! Have your trainer take some measurements and compare your progress to your measurements and not to your scale. Muscle is wonderful and makes you look trim! It burns calories much faster than fat and makes will help long term with weight loss and with maintenance.
Stick with it. I have been weight lifting for 13 years and never have regretted it.
Eat more lean protein and whole grain carbs with your points.

I don't think you are doing anything "wrong" Sometimes it just takes your body a bit to figure out that something is changing. Have patience, follow Ema, and Xena's great advise, and make sure your are getting in plenty of water. The scale will catch up soon. HIHO (hang in and hang on) Katie
