I gotta lose this belly flab... I see a lot of changes in my body since losing weight but I gain in my stomach first...so I lose it there last and although I'm trying it's not disappearing as quickly as I would like! (Can you say "no patience"?) On my way back down to a weight I would like, I am trying to tone up. I do the Firm tapes at least 5x a week and also either 8 Min. Abs or a Tom Holland ab DVD I have, each day...I added the extra ab stuff this June and I do see a little difference, like I can feel the muscle underneath the fat....ever do that?...muscle feels like little worms under the skin... lol that's how I describe it...anyway, I still have the fat on top. I know it's a process, I will keep it up but I heard pilates are very good, and work all the "core" muscles (how appropriate! ) like abs, lower back, etc. sooo...I was wondering if anyone can recommend a DVD to try...thanks!

Hi-- I'm a pilates trainer (I gain weight in the other half of my body). The best excercise DVD is the pilates 10 minute solution. Truthfully, I tell all of my clients to either go to a web site or a book and find the basic 5 exercises (hundred, single leg stretch, double leg stretch, double straight leg stretch and criss cross). If you can CORRECTLY do those exercises 3x per week you'll be in great shape.
Good luck-- Mere

I'm going to my first class tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. I want to learn the maneuvers in a class setting, as I don't trust my sense of where my body is in space to be sure that I am doing the moves correctly and want to make sure I learn what they are supposed to feel like when they are done right with a live person giving me feedback.
