Ok, last week my 10 year old and 4 year old boys dragged me to the gym, when I just didn't feel like going, because they wanted to be there for the kids fitness class (they have it twice a week). I went, had a great workout, and was really glad that they were so convincing.
Then today, my 13 year old son says to me after dinner, "Mom, want to go run a few miles with me?" He is starting to train for the high school cross-country team. We went running, had a GREAT time (saw a deer in the field across the road), and I am counting my lucky stars because:
1. I am doing something right with my kids!!!!! They love to exercise!!!!!
2. I have lost my weight and not only can I play with my kids, I can exercise with them and I LOVE IT!!!!
3. I am keeping off my weight with Core and my combination of exercise. I will NEVER gain it back because I see no change in my future. I eat Core, I exercise, and I attend my weekly WW meetings. It's what I DO.
Just wanted to share........Monica

Wow! That's pretty impressive. I've always told myself I'd have kids early in life because my mom had me at 36 and never has really gotten the chance to play with me like I've wanted her to. Now that we're both on WW, she's got a lot more energy and her aches and pains that I thought were age related, are now gone! She's able to outdo me when we go to the gym and I'm really impressed with her too! Now I don't have such a horrible outlook on waiting to have kids. As long as I'm healthy and stay that way, it shouldn't be such a problem.
Keep up the good work, Monica! I bet your kids appreciate you being with them more than you know!

That's SO GREAT, Monica! That's exactly how I want it to be with my kids when I have them. It's weird because I don't plan on having kids for at least 4-5 more years, but am already planning for having them I think about being able to run around with my children all the time when I'm working out. I think it's just awesome that you're living the reality - and reaping the many benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Imagine how sad you'd be having to watch your kids pass you by!! And best of all, you're instilling in them the desire to be healthy - THEY are forcing YOU to the gym - that's AWESOME!

That's such a great legacy to leave your kids - the love of exercise. Congratulations.
I started exercising for the first time in my life at age 43. At 45, I can finally say I enjoy it!

Add another thing to your list. That your 13 year old wants to not only spend time with you at home but also out in public. What a wonderful relationship you have.
